There will never be another, Yogi. Imagine going a full season striking out only 12 times. Or going to 14 world series and winning 10.

@@rancidcrawfish Amazing. I.had a professor in college at Towaon U, Dr. Calderhead who.used to quote Yogi frequently. He was elserly in 2001. I do not know if he still lives. I enjoyed his class , wven though regular common cents says much of "his story" is simply that fabercations and vary generous retellings to serve the agenda of the so.called controllers. He made the class interesting. And it was great bc he always had a yogi bearra quote or anticdote. 3 cheers for Dr. Calderhead. Hip.hip horray. Hip hop horray. Hip hip.horry. and one for yOGI BEAR and bobo. Hip hop horray!,😀🐵🤠⚾

I purchased a ticket to attend a bus and ferry boat trip, from Yogi Berra Museum to Yankee Stadium with Yogi and his family on Yogi Berra Day. That was the same day that David Cone pitched his perfect game. A commerative baseball cap was given to all passengers on the trip that day. The ferry boat made a stop along the way to pick up Rudy Giuliani and I was fortunate enough to have Yogi and Rudy autograph the commemorative cap. Needless to say it was a memorable event for all who attended the festivities and game that day. That excursion proved priceless for my friends and me. However I would like to add David Cone’s autograph on that cap to go along with Yogi’s and Rudy’s, to make it my perfect game. How can I get Coney to sign it?

Here in 2023 Watching these lovable old clips of the old Yankee Stadium! SURE MISS THE CATHEDRAL and IT'S HISTORY! THIS MIGHT SOUND DIFERENT, BUT WISH THEY TEAR DOWN THE NEW STADIUM, AND THEY BUILT A NEW STADIUM BACK AT ACROSS THE STREET OF THE SAME OLD GROUNDS. MAKE IT FELL MORE LIKE A THE OLD ENVIRONMENT.

Yogi Berra went berserk when Jackie Robinson was called 'safe' when he stole home in Game 1 of the 1955 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers, won by the Dodgers in seven games, their only World Series title while based in Brooklyn. And of course, the Yankees PA announcer for Yogi Berra Day was still the legendary Bob Sheppard. Don Larsen threw out the ceremonial first pitch to his old batterymate, neither man realizing they would witness history as David Cone threw a perfect game against the Minnesota Twins.

I was a catcher on a high school team. Yogi must be amongst the 100 greatest athletes compilation. Mickey Mantle was #37. I also am a Poetician and juggLinguist. My two 'Yogiisms' are "I don't mind poverty; I just can't afford it!". And "That's the best food I ever hated."...which occurred at a nutrician line when they served up another "ham and scalloped potatoes, green beans, and peaches."........Thomas Tossen Vossen.

Please don't steal 2nd base on me or steal my original yogi-isms. One time I quipped, "I bought an audio tape on 'Procrsstination. I decided to place it up on a shelf and listen to it later!"......I read eight of his little books. My favorite yogiism was "If life was perfect; it wouldn't be!"......his comments were somewhere between wisdom and absurdity.
