"The heel region of the hoof is so often overlooked by farriers and owners alike and yet having healthy caudal hoof structures is one of the most important areas of the horse to look after because it affects the whole horse." Find out why in this short clip from the Applied Kinetic Anatomy Identifying Asymmetry in the Horse Saddle Rider Combination course broadcast this week. The full 2 hour webinar replay will be made available in full by Yogi Sharp on his website shortly.
Equine Documentalist farrier, Yogi Sharp, delivered a fascinatingly detailed presentation on how foot function and conformation directly relates to posture. The presentation was immaculately illustrated and was thus highly engaging and very easy to follow. The group learned a selection of techniques to help them identify when hoof morphology reflects postural issues, following a comprehensive explanation of hoof function in gait.
This 20 minute clip provides a description of how we can analyse the horse's foot geometry to help with analysing the overall posture. There are details at the end of the film about further webinars on this topic. Feel free to share this clip about this very important equine evaluation topic.
