Thanks for the very controled test, honestly havent found many videos like this, which is understandable because gettint similar stats between sets is really hard, but are the best showcase of the artifact bonus. Really good content for people who like testing things out.

If you already farmed a good shimenawa then yes, if not then for me personally, though shimenawa is more consistent, the damage difference between it and echoes isn't far off, so echoes for me would be better since you can still use her burst at the end of her skill to buff your teammates (depends on team), that buff would make up if not increase for her personal damage lost. But in the big picture, I would say use whatever sets you have with the best stats

To each their own but imo, Echoes doesn't scale well with her best support which is Yun Jin (they both buff the same stats) , and is not consistent enough for vape so it's a no for me. SR without its drawbacks, still the best set for various team comps.

Yep, Shimenawa still the best artifact set for Yoimiya because no need to rely on Echoes set's stupid RNG. Edit: 15 energy for consistent 50% more NA dmg is better than 70% more NA dmg but heavily relying on RNG, besides she can get back that 15 (even more with battery support) energy within her skill duration.

I personally went for 2 pieces glad and 2 pieces shimenawa with a crit ratio of 80/208 with 121% er. I was using 4 pieces shimenawa before but I got her c1 and it hurts to not be able to use it because of the set. So now i'm sticking with my new build, and i can use her burst everytime i want

Echoes really isnt that bad. I get it if some people just don't like rng, but in the no buff comparison we see that at the lowest it only did about 10% less damage than shime, and at highest it did about 8%? (Eyeballing it) more. This is all without procing her ult too. So just use whichever u want lol. Also shows that crimson witch is viable in reaction teams if u have good artifacts for it already

Echoes have quite the potential, in my opinion since it buffs the base dmg, just like Yunjin and Shenhe's buff. That means it can further increased by Normal attack dmg bonus from Rust, Hamayumi and Thundering Pulse. But that RNG-based thingy makes it fall behind shimenawa set.

Well, using Echoes can help your Yoimiya in coops or solo modes, when you have to dodge almost all the time, or having next to none battery to use I-frame from Bursts; Echoes’ frontload potential is greatly overlooked when we try to shift the dps frame in the first few seconds

Echoes is better for thundering pulse buff since with Shime the third stack will disappear quickly while with Echoes it will take multiple uses of your skill before the stack is gone

And of course shim is still the best and optimal way to go a resin efficient domain, while yoimiya has very flexible team she can also switch up based from who's who you gonna pair up with her. Crimson witch, if you paired her with beidou fischl and xingqiu in that way she will maximize the 4pc of it and after the em buff/transformative reaction buff it's more noticeable now than before so it's safe to say that is reasonable artifact set for her Shimenawa is overall the bis, but if you are still hesitatant on farming, note that if you are using someone lile yelan, yunjin or any character that doesn't scale on atk, then go for shimenawa since there's nothing to benefit with that atk buff. Echoes is probably underrated set for her it may not be as resin efficient as shim but those artifacts hold the same value as glads, so its not so much of a waste farming in that domain. So if you are using like zhongling burst support or xingqiu, or fischl or someone that can snapshot atk buff it's better like xiangling, or if you are playing in coop this is much better since you will able to buff teammates while still doing damage. (besides it's coop almost everyone will put an effort to do some damage) Bollide is at it's best when paired by zhongli Yoi - yelan - yunjin - zhongli Yoi - abledo - zhongli - xingqui Any team you can imagine with zhongli, but if you don't have zhongli then i guess it's not best for your situation Ps: I'm not a player that pushes over something, these opinion of mine was based on my experience playing yoimiya as main dps, a year worth of experience is enough to do trial and error experiments like what i had mentioned earlier. If you still think shim is the best out of all opinion i had elaborated then its fine for me i had nothing against with that. If you have better stat in this set than the other then go for it.

Thanks for this info I needed it very much because I'm maximizing Yoimiya's damage, currently using r5 slingshot and shim set ratio 68/176 (team-Bennett, Yunjin & Zhongli), and I'm planning to transition to using Hamayumi and Bolide set. I use Monopyro Yoimiya so the Echoes set is perfect for me. The team generates too much energy for Shimenawa to work - need to be more cautious in managing energy. At best, it deals more damage than Shimenawa, at worst, it deals the 2nd best damage just under Shimenawa. Also to clarify, Echoes set's buff is a flat damage buff. It works like a Yunjin buff rather than a DMG Bonus buff. This means that regardless of which Yoimiya NA string or multiplier procs the buff, the damage increase is the same (e.g., if the buff procs to a 5k increase, it will always be a 5k increase for her lower and higher multipliers). The only factors that matter are 1) how many times the buff procs per rotation and 2) if that buff procs on a vape NA (which in a Monopyro Yoimiya team does not matter whatsoever). To say that Shimenawa is more resin efficient, it is true. However, based on my experience, I've ran Yoimiya at 2 pc combinations for the past year, farmed Shimenawa domain exclusively for more than 8 months, and I've never completed a good 4 pc Shimenawa set. That's how unlucky I am in that domain. Farmed less than a month in the Echoes domain and got a full set with 62-240 Crit Ratio (using Thundering Pulse). This is also taking into account that my Crit DMG circlet has no Crit Rate substat - that's how amazing my other 3 Echoes set pieces are.

Just a question, if the team generated too much energy, wouldn’t shime be fine, cause it just has the energy cost passive meaning you’ll be able to proc it, and if you generate too much energy, you should be able to burst and gain some to proc the passive again ? Or How does it work?

@@DM_260 This is true. With high energy regeneration, Shimenawa would be fine overall - except if you have Thundering Pulse. In order to proc the weapon's full passive, you need to have a non-full burst. If Yoimiya were to generate to much energy before her attack string ends, she's gonna lose some NA DMG Bonus. With other weapons though, it's fine :)

@@migoym6079 oh that makes more sense, I got yoimiya from her rerun with nahida and I accidentally wasted my guarantee on ayato(this was lucky cause I had Raiden guaranteed, got kequing at like 10 pity, then got ayato at 35, I shouldn’t have pulled since I want yelan and homa but with luck they should come home), so I was thinking of farming echoes which should be fine since I don’t have thundering pulse and use rust, if anything they can have a shared set for now, I have a shime set for yoimiya but the crit rate is bad so maybe echoes may be okay to farm?

wdym? Having your burst up actually takes out 1 stack of dmg from Thundering Pulse's passive, shimenawa's set actually synergizes well with the bow. Not having your burst up mean you get the max stacks on the passive. Also on most (not to say every single one) of her team rotations, her burst is basically useless.

@@danielguerrero6057 actually using her burst at the start of rotation is more optimal as it adds a little bit of damage to your dps window and as well provides buff that some of her teammates can snapshot e.g Beidou, Fischl, Xiangling. Yes shimenawa drains 15 energy but in most cases Yoimiya fulls her energy before her E infusion expires. Means your damage lowers at the 2nd or 3rd N.A window. Also Yoi can benefit from Echoes consistently even her without her E. Her physical N.A can get that random dmg increase tho it isn't actually that much since she is switched after her infusion anyway. So to sum up Shimenawa is consistent in damage and doesn't have rng and ping reliant issues but Echoes is way more optimal for thundering pulse.

So to summarize for AA DPS : 2+2 < crimson = echoes < shimenawa BUT echoes works without reaction so echoes > crimson And according to theory crafter yoimiya burst give 20% of all the DPS and don t forget 20 % ATk for the team, so echoes = shimenawa or even better, but you can use your ultimate every rotation so it s more fun so echoes slightly > shimenawa

Echoes is better when you use your ult, because Yoimiya's ult translates to about 30% of her damage which you can only do every OTHER rotation with Shiminawas, and crimson witch is better when you use overload + vaporize. Both of which lead to lower normal attack damage, but overall higher dps. Yoimiya, Xinqiu/Yelan, and bennett are standard. With Shiminawas and Echoes, you can use 4th slot fill as an anemo character to res shred, and with Crimson your 4th slot is almost always taken by Fischl or Raiden Shogun for their 0 ICD electro application. Also, substituting your 4th slot for a shielder is also strong because Yoimiya's highest damage output is the last attack in her normal skill, so you don't want to be getting interrupted. (which also makes crimson less viable unless you change out Bennett for Thoma or something, but that's also lower dmg on both Fischl's skill snapshot and yoimiya's overall dps)

Another question, I'm trying to get TP for my Yoimiya and I'm thinking if I should stay with my Shim (better stats) or change to CW. I currently have R5 Rust and what I noticed is that after my 2nd attack string, my burst would be up already. So that'll mean I'll lose TP's third stack on my 3rd NA string. So should I just stay with my R5 Rust for Shim or pull for TP and then change to CW?

I think her weapon has a lot to do with what set you use as well. For those with Thundering Pulse, Shimenawa is the perfect fit because it plays into the weapon's passive. Using Rust or something else allows for more flexibility with artifacts.

Thing is with Echoes that your Burst has more uptime compared to Shime. In fact to compensate for the energy drain you would need to build 30 ER more on the Shime-set which would be terrible to do so for your DPS. The other option is to miss out on Burst Uptime and most of the time this means only bursting every second rotation. So while her solo damage looks better, Shimenawa will still start to lose out, if Yoimiya can burst every rotation on Echoes, while she can only do so every 2nd rotation with Shimenawa. Her burst makes up to about 250k damage per rotation. So missing out even once cannot be compensated by the additional normal attack damage that Shimenawa provides. So overall it will provide more DPS to Yoimiya. All in all I am not saying that the Echoes has to be farmed now. The domain is bad to farm for most people. And it isn't worth to throw away a perfectly fine Shime set for an Echoes. It is just something that people should be aware of.

@@terrormanxx1575 Yeah it depends on how many enemies you are facing. Lots of different factors and once you know what these factors are its easy to burst on Yoimiya consistently even with Shime.

@@originmaple but the thing is, a lot of shimenawa users dont use their burst even if it's full. They don't even level up the talents of the burst. Even tho some people can still use it with shimenawa, doesn't mean they will use it

Crimson set actially has 160 less base atk here, nobody seems to notice. Also, only 1st 3rd and 5 hit usually vaporize with her atk string. So with the dmg of the usable ult, crimson is a bit better than shimenawa for vaporize teams

I'm so happy I got rid of her Shimenawa set. Ecoes feels so much better to use 🥴 Plus if you have 80/200 you won't really miss too many crits so even if it's RNG you'll still reliably prock it

I play yoimiya with xinqiu and bennet also mona ( u can use fischl too ) , I start of with yoimiya ult and then use mona E --> xinqiu Q then E twice ( sac sword ) and bennet ult and E it gives particles ( fav sword ) then i have enough energy for shimenawa and pew pew with yoimiya . Pretty sure nobody cares about this comment.

I do not get it why people are saying shim is bad because of energy issues. I mean I use hu tao with shim and sometimes I can even use her ult too. It should be the same with yoimiya. Just pair her with someone who uses favonious or something its not like you will use them solo

So, basically Echoes is teh best artifact, because it gives you a change to hit hard without any cost every time and it will always hit harder, because even if you hit more with Shimenawa, that´s temporal, but with Echoes you will ALWAYS have a change to get the biggest numbers whitouth (saying it again) ANY COST, to resume you can have the numbers of all other artifarcts no matter the gameplay... nice, thanks man :D

Don't forget that there is a bug with echos, meaning that your bing should be less rhan than 40ms or the effects dont trigger

My best set for her now is the 2 atk 2 crimson.skiward harp 70/180 crit. Already difficult to get. Although is obvious it's not the highest DMG set.

So for shimegawa 4pc on yomiya and thundering pulse, I just never use her burst and I always get the 4pc set effect correct? But as I'm reading thundering pulse third stack says I need to have less than 100% energy for the third damage stack to apply, so wtf do I do?
