This interview really touched me. So nice that Yoko got to fully relax, knowing she was with a true friend who was obviously really routing for her and loved her work. Kate seems a bit awe stuck which is really sweet and a nice compliment..then to hear John and Yoko were excited about the B52s made this a special interview..a real pleasure to watch.

Great interview, it’s nice 2 see ppl taking Yoko seriously & not doing something stupid like Blaming her for breaking up The Beatles, which was impossible. It was business...not Yoko. Really looks happy being able 2 have a positive conversation about herself & what she does.

Kate’s a real sweetie, love you girl! People don’t give Yoko as much cred as the art world does. She’s got a lot of respect for her performance art, she really had some great ideas back in the day.

Great interview between two adult women!

I've always championed her because I think she was one of the women who opened up a whole range of vocalization for women--not just allowing women to be exactly like her-- to experiment with all the sounds you can make.

Thank you so much. I wondered if Kate Pierson ever had the pleasure of meeting Yoko Ono. The 52 girls always credited her from day one & its wonderful to see them talk. Makes me happy.

Sincere conversations amongst artists are much more insightful than conventional q & a's involving interviewers who are detached from the artist's sensibility. A new paradigm, perhaps more artists would interview each other, for the sake of truth at least. I'm a great fan of these both and touched by the exchange.

There was a longtime lovefest between the B52s and Yoko. When John went to the Bahamas in 1979 or 1980, he heard their debut album, and portions of Rock Lobster were directly influenced by Yoko. John was so happy to hear that that he called Yoko and said he had decided to go back into the studio and record. Double Fantasy was the result...

a great chilled out interview which is done by two great women who really don't squabble or differ in views. Absolutely beautiful

So cool so sweet so honest. In a world pushing /demanding CONformity, draped in fear drenched "conservatism" originality isn't prized, it takes courage and brilliance to be different. It's a joy to see Yoko getting respect and this interview touches on art and music rather than celebrity gossip.

Great interview between two music icons. Kate Pierson is absolutely gorgeous here and hard to believe she's 44 in this interview. This was just around the time of the B-52's "Good Stuff" album. Thanks for uploading.

Great; this is THE Yoko interview. She is probably the most irrationally hated artist out there and so to have the utterly devastating Cindy interviewing Yoko with knowledge, insight intelligent instinct and appreciation of her work, as Ms Peirson does, is a revelation after all the sociopathic Beatles fan dominated U tube hate fests. Anyway a nice reminder of a time before our culture totally collapsed. Unfortunately all the good work done in the 1960s' to 1980's has been undone, we live in oligarchy now.

No comments!? Well, these girls were waiting for me then. Very interesting interview; thanks for uploading. And I am the third woman musician in the room here -if that makes any sense-, so... I feel like the three of us are chatting about improvisation, song structures, and all those things. BTW finally someone asking Ono something apart from JL´s death and stuff! Just artists, talking arts. Good. Both, good artists. Cheers!

I adored the B 52s at first, then they mellowed out after Ricky Wilson died. Their later music sounds like they're still in mourning. They're not the same band, in a way.

To start with I felt Yoko didn't know who Kate was. That would have been super awkward.
