Death of Samantha will always be one of my favourite songs. Insanely ahead of its time, powerfully poignant, and its influence has become a permanent fixture in the evolution of music. And though today it's become fairly easy (hindsight being 20/20 and all) to cite much of Yoko Ono's back catalogue as either originating, or shaping, many of the genres that followed after. I still think Death of Samantha (perhaps because it was more widely accessible at the time) remains one of her most significant contributions, and its influence is perhaps more overt today than ever before. Just a great track, always will be.

For something ostensibly about Approximately Infinite Universe, there's a lot of time spent on the non-LP single Josejoi Banzai. Not that I mind - I love that song!!!

@pavelkryzek-pk9ss16 күн бұрын
