Yokohama Advan Racing RG3 Wheel Review Subaru WRX STI
Review on the Yokohama Advan Racing RG3/RGIII Wheels on my 2019 Subaru Wrx Sti. The wheels in the video are the 18x9.5 +45 fitment in Indigo Blue and are on my 2019 Subaru Wrx Sti. In my opinion these are some of the best WRX STI wheels available because of their fitment. If you are looking for a better performance wheel that is not overly aggressive on offset these are hard to beat.

45 offset for 9.5 wide is the perfect the car. 35-40 sticks out a bit which I do not like.

Do you think all Advan wheels are similar, in terms of their specs? I'm wanting some GT Beyonds in the exact same spec you have here but I'm not sure if there will be any variances between the two models. I'm on stock suspension.

I'd say all are similar from a offset/width point of view. As far as spoke clearance and face concavity, that's where an issue may come up on clearing the brakes.

Just curious how much space you have between your coils and rubbing,can you fit a hand between the tire and the coil? I'm trying to run a 275/35 on advan rs2 in 18x9.5 +45 and your one of the few people I see running this Offset, are you running negative camber at all or anything?

Here are my suspension specs: Using Cygnus X-1 coilovers w/longtravel upgrade and swift spring upgrade, Superpro rear LCA's and rear toe arms. Camber front -1.3 and rear -1.1. Drop is approx .75" overall from stock. As for this wheel setup and fitting a hand back there I cannot say at the moment as they are not on the car. Put the stockers back on for winter use and have not swapped them back yet. Hope the above information may help ya out some. Thanks for asking.

Fire wheels and thanks for the vid!! I just recently sold my 57crs in 18x9.5+38 and IMO the higher offset is needed for 15+ wrx/STI's. The biggest complaint I had with the +38 was how sluggish the responsiveness was when doing quick direction changes left to right on the track. Since then I'm back on stock 17s which are +55 and I love how the car feels again, they just look so ugly. I'm trying to find a 17x9 +50~+45 for my setup. I see Advan has some 17x9 in +50~45 on their rs, rgd2, and tc4 line ups so I'm trying to snag a set 😍

Thanks man I appreciate that 🤛. I agree on how the car feels on a higher offset. In my opinion as well it just feels more snappy overall. Good luck on grabbing a set those are some nice choices you got lined up there. Out of those 2 options I’m partial to the RGD2 design just a bit more lol. Really though a tough choice between the 2 and either are great IMHO. Thanks again.

Sounds like you need to get on the ball haha. As for summit point, I have personally never been there. I live in the southern part of WV. VIR is actually closer to me by about 30 minutes, but both are about 4 hour drive or so away lol. I'll drive 13 hours to race a dirt bike, but won't drive 4 hours to a track day lol, priorities right lol. Thanks for the question. Going from the below website www.yokohamawheel.jp/brand/advan_rg3/index_jpn.html The designation for my 18 x9.5 +45 is labeled as the super GTR face. If you go to that site and scroll to the bottom GTR wheel sizes/offsets are labeled with one (*) and Super GTR wheel sizes/offsets are labeled with two (**). Hope that helps you out some.
