I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500hd and bought a set of Yokohama Geolander Tires (LT285/75R16 A/T-S) in June of 2009 and currently have almost 70,000 miles on them in June of 2021. They have been flawless for 12 years ! They have taken me everywhere on and off road, I have never been stuck in Pacific Northwest mountains and desert in mud, sand. snow and ice. These have been the best tires I've ever owned (I'm 58 and have had pick-up trucks since I was 16). I will be purchasing the GO15's this month.

2003 Tundra, I got a bit over 70k miles on the older ATS tires. Did a lot of off road abuse too, never really a problem. Just bought the GO15's for my wife's Honda Element, hoping for the same quality. Thanks for posting.

Agreed the Yoko AT-S are a awesome tire. They were super cheap when I bought them too 6 years ago @ $125/tire for 33 inch E rated tires. Drove them from New York City, to Seattle, and down to Mexico City. Flawless.

These Yokohama Go15 are awesome tires and I should know that because I have them on my 2012 Ford F-150. They are still handling fantastic like new. Currently they have 30,000 miles and I have no regrets!👊🏼😃🏅🏅🏅🏅

I took how your G012’s lasted and performed under consideration and bought the G015’s. I’ve only had 1 other tire to compare it to on my 1998 f150 regular cab flareside 4x4 the Goodyear Rt/s and I love the Yokohama’s. I kinda wish I would have gotten a more aggressive tire but I do love these Yokohama’s. I was able to clear a 33” with no rub. I was looking at the kumho mt51 but I thought the yokos would last longer so that’s why I got them.

Was the size you got 285/70?
@Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy Жыл бұрын
I saw a guys review who said he got 120,000 miles out of a set, mostly highway I think. Crazy. He bought another set too. This 265/70R17 size looks just about beefy enough. Might put a set on my Silverado Overland project. 285/75R17's will fit and look really nice, but they're another almost 10 lbs a tire and probably sacrifice MPG. Hmm.
@RocketScientist Жыл бұрын
Eh... I wouldn't lose sleep over 40lbs. A full tank of gas weighs about 3-4 times that.
@Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy Жыл бұрын
@@RocketScientist Well the tires on it now are only 32lbs. The larger Geolanders are 60lbs. That's 28lbs per tire of rotational unsprung weight, plus the spare, so 140lbs. I'm thinking more handling, acceleration/braking and road feel effects. Heavier tire, plus a larger tire is going to effectively gear up my truck.

Had them fitted and we're suddenly snowbound ! So it was just in the nick of time. @RocketScientist6 жыл бұрын
Pricing varies per area, here in NW Indiana I paid around $850 give or take for the set. Difference between these and G012's is tread pattern and rubber compounds, probably some other secret stuff. The G015 is basically the newer version of the discontinued G012.

Noise and performance is close to the same.. I didn't really pay much attention to the noise levels on the G012, mainly because after driving on them so long, I got used to it. G015 is basically a newer version of the same thing. Both are very good tires. G015 seems a bit better.

Would you say these are less "beefy" or "aggressive" than the BFG AT KO? I have some BFG's currently and im looking for some new all Terrain's that are slightly less aggressive and have excellent wet traction. I like the BFG's but I def noticed a loss on MPG's and handling due to heavy tread blocks and size of course. A reply would be greatly appreciated. Great review BTW.
@RocketScientist7 жыл бұрын
nolablurunner Well, looking at the BFG KO2, Yok G015 has 3/32 more tread depth and completely different tread design, so I guess "beefiness" is in the eye of the beholder. If MPG is what you're after, I track mine and it got slightly better but not enough to make a huge difference. See my 1,000 mile review for more! Thanks for your kind words!
