Yokomo MR4-BX and MR4-BX World Spec Overview

Correction: I mentioned 2005 and 2006 as production dates for these, but I'm fairly certain it is actually 2006 and 2007, respectively, for the MR4BX and World Spec kits.

great review, this kits has a lot of influence from original YMP mx4 design , not sure if this is the last design by Mr Hirosaka. But what I know this is the LAST yokomo super dog fighter series and my yokomo collection ends here :)

I took a plunge and bought my MR4BX with an entire box full of parts. Then i was able to get the worlds kit, new, on ebay for $200. Now , cant touch that kit for less than $1500 last time i saw it advertised. Good thing there are still plenty of parts available. Ive got mine setup to run, just havent yet. Still not sure if i want to go full worlds setup or what.

I love the stuff that you are doing. A total wealth of information. I don't know if anyone tells you or not, but thanks for doing these! I just purchased a MR4-BX on eBay and THEN looked to see where i could get front arms, and I don't see them anywhere! Any ideas? Do you think any other Yokomo front arms fit?

I’m interested to see how these compare to the other bad ass yokes you’ve driven - do you expect they’ll behave a lot differently than the late model yz-10s or just be incrementally better?

I think they'd be much like a belt drive B44 with better jumping behavior. The adjustable one way is a real game changer compared to the prior MX4 and YZ10, which had a fixed one way. The YZ10 you could at least modify to achieve full time 4wd, but the MX4 was hopeless and neither of the two had any adjustability for the one way.

@@doctormosfet sounds like one ways are a way bigger deal than all the carbon you can throw on a car - having never really driven a car on a track with jumps and with & without one says front/rear I just mainly noticed the difference during breaking 🤷‍♂️ Great vid brother I always feel like I’m in RC racing 101 - you need to start an online university 😄
