YOKOMO RS2.0 RC Touring Car for £150!!! Unboxing & Initial Thoughts

Our first look at the incredibly priced entry level Yokomo Touring car! Equal Length Belt Transmission, 2 Oil Filled Gear differentials, 4x CVD type driveshafts, Threaded Oil Filled Shocks, that are compatible with the competition range of springs and race proven suspension geometry.
All this for the Unreal price of £150. Add Electrics, Wheels, Tyres and a body and hit the track!

Perfect to see this run through comparison to the older car and great to get the insight that 01 was competitive with higher spec Xrays and the like at your club. Looking forward to the build and feedback from your running. Love the son / Dad banter 😂

We're currently recording the build process with it. He's "helping" when he can. He'll be building the next one on his own! 😂 The Build is lovely, as we've come to expect from Yokomo.

The previous car (RS1.0) was only £199 and we found it properly competitive in our "blinky" class against current topline kits!

Can’t argue with the price of this beauty! As you have mentioned on other platforms….this would make a great wet car. Would be great if there was cross compatibility with the MS1.0 so it could be upgraded. Similar to how the MR4TC Custom could be upgraded to the Special

There are some crossover parts. Front hubs and steering arms are BD12, the Hubs cross over to the MS1.0. springs etc are compatible too, so there would be no need for 2 different sets. At the price point, it would make an awesome "spec" car for a race series too!

That looks like a fantastic car for the money! I currently run a Tamiya TC-01 (I know, odd choice) and I'm looking at something else but a car that is 'budget', and this Yokomo RS2.0 definitely fits the bill, I'll seriously consider it ;)

That's the problem with touring cars :( With the solid, semi tub chassis this should be better on less than perfect surfaces than other belt driven touring cars.

My son has a TT0T type S but its not as race ready as Id hoped. Needs some hop ups and fettling. This looks like a good replacement for him with a proper racing chassis. Did much need tweaking or upgrading for racing?

Our RS2.0 will hit the track, as built. I do have the Roll Bar kit for it, but in reality I usually don't run them. The RS1.0 we ran a really light Anti Roll bar front and rear, and just introduced a 1mm spacer on the rear hub upper link. It was really close to being spot on out of the box. We've run the RS2.0 on the wrong tyres at our local Tuesday night club, and although low on grip (tyre choice) it was really well balanced. Looking forward to it's proper debut soon!
