its worth mentioning that the yokuda you see on maps IS what is left. the original Yokuda was immensely bigger, rivaling the size of tamriel itself

You’re absolutely right, tons of land in Yokuda sunk (I believe it happened during the early First Era I may be wrong.) I find the islands dotting around Tamriel absolutely fascinating, especially Atmora. To come to think of it, we barely know anything about Atmoran and Yokudan religion or cultures.

@@itsclemtime2357 Well, old Nordic Lore as explained in Morrowind and beforehand, was basically just Atmoran Culture. Atmoran/Ancient Nordic Culture had some rich Lore before it was mostly watered down. Modern Nords are nothing like their ancestors

More than rival Tamriel in size. The left-handed empire was said to be 4 times the size of the third empire in size. Yokuda was pretty much 4 times the size of Tamriel.

yes, they are all driven to tamriel, argonian is really tied to the hist, amd khajit is just elves who is turned into a cat by azura, and it is said that the hist and the yokudan doesn't come from current kalpa, but they come from previous kalpa, where the ragada and sinistral mer is against each other, in tamriel it is like that too, but more complex, imo yokuda is in the past, hence the island is different, and akavir is in the future, hence people inhabit there will not be welcome, what about atmora and aldmeris? atmora is frozen in time, eternally flawed, it becomes older and older, man who lives there needs change, hence they go to tamriel, aldmeris on the other hand, is the opposite of atmora, it is very hot, always changing because of the flaw it creates, and it became chaotic and hot, so the mer live there desire more peaceful and stale condition, hence they go to tamriel, and because of the hotness, it just evaporated into the sky, into memories, thus it doesn't exist anymore, and what of pyandonea? well it is said the island is tropical, and of eternal youth, it has the perk because of the closeness to aldmeris, just like avalon in uk folklore, but maormer who lives there can't go back to aldmeris anymore, so they always invade tamriel.

The red guards are representative of Ancient and present Arabians as they were considered to be more advanced than other groups of people during their time and they also share the same type of home landscape(desert and sandy)

pokezee king-wolf they are also quite advanced as they use guns and explosives, cannons also count that means they have invented gunpowder, they also posses knowledge of making airships, which, combined with ability to make bombs, can give them air superiority over others, but in any case, am i the only one who thinks that humans from nirn are actually humans from our world which got sucked into nirn during its creation? Same goes for other species, for example, elves migth be from some other world which has magic, and that's why there is magic in this world? Human world also brought physics of a human world? Maybe each creature brought some sort of special ability to this world?

did you know in the elder scrolls online if you go to the westernmost point of glenumbra in high rock you can see the outline of a giant landmass if you look in the direction yokuda should be on the map.

Yokuda, it's people and mer are from a previous time..... Mundus/Nirn time goes from start to finish in a linear fashion but then loops back on itself ending where it began but in a whole new reality. Kinf of like the Big Bang/Big Crunch theory of our universe. The Yokuda managed to flee their universe just before it ended and found themselves at the start of the current elderscrolls timeline/universe.... Which would make them older then any race on nirn. And they have been on nirn since the mer were banging rocks together. They have no connection to any other race except the left handed elves they may or may not have brought with them. The Island itself most likely sank as a result of a civil war on Yokuda between earth-bender like mages that could use geomancy and everyone else which resulted in them using powerful magics to flood the lands.... Thats the current community understanding. I think..... CoDA makes it canon. Seriously though, this is the in game story.

The reason Yokuda sunk into the ground was because when the Ra Gada destroyed them in the war, the left handed elves were using magic to hold up the island. When they destroyed them, it sunk into the sea because there was no magic holding it up
