I wrote the composers name in the description: Milton 'DoctorM64' Guasti, Darren Kerwin, Torbjørn 'Falcool' Brandrud . DoctorM64 is the maker of the game too, Darren Kerwin and Falcool are two of the guys that puts together the "Harmony of" albums, and those albums are stellar too. I have uploaded Harmony of Hunter and 101% Run if you are interested. :) I agree though, Kenji Yamamoto is really good, but the composers for this game have proved themselves worthy of creating atmospheric Metorid soundtracks.

I love how this part was built up, I am navigating the new area and the ambient music is playing. When I was listening I mumbled to myself, "That sounds like Lower Norfair from Super Metroid." and when the power came on and the music kicks up then I was like "IT IS LOWER NORFAIR!"

Samus Returns is surely a good game, but AM2R is stellar.

I love metroid and am2r is my second favorite metroid game next to echoes

My favorite will always be Super Metroid. Its like my inspiration for life ever since I was young. Echoes is my favorite Prime game I think (the first one is super close though), and AM2R is superb as well. I would probably put AM2R right after Fusion (I like the story in that game).

The Plasma Beam makes The Tester fight sooooooo much easier. I was exploring the ruins with the Spider Ball and I found an opening that led me into the The Tower. Only problem was that the power was out and the door leading to the reactor was sealed so I couldn't leave the way I came, nor could I reactivate the reactor. I was forced to advance and I encountered the boss you were meant to fight after going through the Tower, without the upgrades you were meant to acquire along the way (including the armor-piercing Plasma Beam). On top of that, I was missing about half of my energy. Yeah, I died.

I love that aspect in AM2R. You are never forced to explore the entire area before you take on its boss.

Yep, that's what I liked about it too. Because I could explore the world at my leisure, I was able to 100% the game fairly easily, but only after exploring every nook and cranny of every room with the Spider Ball. My only complaint is that there are powerups hidden in places that you'd never know to look unless you watched a walkthrough (i.e. in walls, etc).

I would call it an original track because most of the song has its own original melody, but the part at 0:59 is from Lower Norfair.
