This is such a beautiful artbook, I don't even own the manga or collect artbooks but I'd love to own this. Why doesnt Viz ever include something awesome like this. So many other editions get these cool add ons

​@@LauraAGraceI would be more than willing to spend on more items if they came with these add ons. Finally tracked down my own copy of this beautiful book, just missed out on Ebay but bought it on a Portugese looking website. So excited to receive my copy next year 😊 hopefully nothing goes wrong.

How many times did we say "look at themmmmm~!" 😂🥰 12:52 this was for a set of sticky notes that came with one of the magazine issues! i got them and like to use one whenever i'm mailing my fellow Yona-friends ^_^ (i'm too greedy to use stuff like postcards, but there are multiples of the sticky notes haha!) 23:00 the villainous Hak illustration was for a "Dark Heroes" issue of spinoff magazine "The Hana to Yume." The corresponding short story is at the end of vol 39 and it's pretty funny!! You pointed out one of them but there were a few illustrations I don't remember seeing before!! (surprising since i've done my best to get all the art products released in Japan! 😆) What a splendid collection of the artwork!! Oh, and it's great to see the index at the end of the book too-most Japanese artbooks I've gotten have that and it's nice to find out where the illustrations originated or what their purposes were! Thanks so much for sharing, I'm sure we were all repeating the same oohs and ahhs as we watched along, so your commentary was just fine!! 💖

LOL!!!!! I didn't even realize until you mentioned it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And sticky notes for those cuties?!?! Oh my goodness that is SO cute!! Also I'm with you on the postcards! At least sticky notes there are a lot of them! 🤣 Oh! I'm relieved I wasn't wrong about Hak looking villainous in that one illustration! I was a little worried I was! LOL! My friend and I starting our buddy read of volumes 39-40 so I'm excited to read that! 🤩🤩🤩 That is SO cool you keep up and try to get all the new Yona art from Japan!! 🤩 I would love to do the same, but don't think my husband would be quite as excited if I did! 🤣 I'm so thankful they make art books like this because its probably the closest I'll come (and excited to hear there were a few illustrations you hadn't recalled seeing before! I'd love it if viz did massive hardcover 3-in-1 editions of Akatsuki no Yona like darkhorse or viz's Nausicaä collector's editions. The French manga editions seem to get so much extra.

Thanks for filming a flip-through! It's hard to pick a fave out of so many beautiful pieces, but Shin-ha with the hydrangea is one that sticks out for me. He's my favorite dragon and hydrangea is my favorite flower. ❤

I dunno whhhhhyyyy we get shafted so hard when it comes to 💖extra goodies💖 tied to volume purchases here in the US! As someone who is yet to read Yona of the Dawn I am amazed how quickly this video flew by, watched it all! your enthusiasm kept me so engaged. I am a huge fan of art books and have several for my favourite manga, anime and Ghibli films, despite having not read Yona of the Dawn I am very keen in getting a copy of this too now to support the artists and appreciate there art style in future :D. Oh no!! Is it not allowing you to ship to another country? I know a while back a friend had the same problem! I wonder if it was only open INT during the preorder? My friend ended up finding one on Mercari and might be the only place to get one now 😭 I tried going to Fnac doing the same thing and having trouble too! I'm so sorry that's not more helpful! 😭😭😭

I can't choose one art piece?! I low key try to keep tabs on Yona's special edition Japanese volumes, but not the other international editions! Would not have thought of France ... I heard Yona is very popular there though. I've not seen a manga hardcover artbook that size ... What is the page quality like? It looks matte like regular hardcover book pages? The only Viz Shoujo I saw get an extra was the special final volume of Takane and Hana of all things. Kodansha did release specia editions of Attack on Titan like the Japanese ones (DVD of OVAs, playing card set, etc) but Yona is not uber popular at that level. I wish English publishers did more extras... Japanese, Spanish and French special editions of Witch Hat Atelier volumes look amazing with artbooks, notebooks. Even plushies! #shoujolove23

In hindsight it was unfair of me to ask which was a fave because I don't even know if *I* could choose a favorite! LOL! Also, SAME! I heard just here recently that the German edition is going to be getting post cards and made sure to stop myself from looking to see if I could grab it! LOL! The page quality is really nice! It doesn't feel as thick as most manga pages, but not so thin where you can see through if that makes sense? Also I didn't know about the special edition of AoT! :o :o :o The only special edition I have is that Takane & Hana one and definitely agree that I wish VIZ would give us more special editions in English because I really think many of us would be willing to pay a little extra for it if they did!

Update, I've finally received my copy and I just want to say thanks for showing this off because I wouldn't know it existed otherwise. It's sooo pretty and I love seeing it on my shelf 😊 one day I'll be able to display it with the Yona volumes.
