I have a machine like that, the ice cream doesn't come out that "creamy". If the fruit is very frozen like ice, the ice cream comes out as if the fruit were "crushed ice". But I discovered a trick to make the ice cream creamier: I cut the fruit into small pieces and don't let it freeze completely. I freeze it only half-frozen, and it's still a little malleable, and I mix natural yogurt, to make it more "creamy".

People saying to use a blender instead are missing the point of the product. I like the smoothness of it like a soft yogurt or ice cream 🍦. A blender works well for a slushy or shake. However this fills it's purposes as advertised. :)

Not a blender, that's for smoothies of course. But a food processor. I use a small one to make my Bananas Ice Cream with better results than I see here. Still a soft serve consistency, but way more firm. And no need to thaw before, so creamier also.

Also Correct. Thanks for the great tip.

I ordered one of these last week and I think it’s one of my favorite purchases. I’ve tried it with bananas, strawberries, mango, peaches, and apricots so far and it’s all creamy and delicious. You can’t get this same effect with a blender. My machine does not bounce and it doesn’t need a larger chute. I made ice cream for my neighbors and three of them bought the machine for themselves and for gifts. I had sworn off dairy and sugar but was craving soft serve so this is a perfect product for me. It comes with a fat little recipe book and clean up takes minutes.

Chop up your fruit a bit before you freeze it so it comes out mixed. I wonder if you took a dairy ice cream recipe and poured it into ice cube trays, how that might turn out.

you can make it adult by rum soaking the banana's, add frozen limes and a little mint. Put into a drink glass and add a little sprite or bubbly water for a great frozen drink.

also you can put them in an ice pop mold and refreeze which makes it great for kids to hold and eat.

@silviowebdesign2 ай бұрын
it is better if you mix natural yogurt (creamy), with pieces of frozen fruits. The yogurt should be natural state (not iced) that makes the fruit ice cream more creamy

@@MywalkingblogI just use 200gr of frozen banana (cut in pieces before). That's the maximum my food processor can take (it's powerful but small), and it's perfect for one person. No milk, water, any liquid. That would turn it into a smoothie instead. In like less than three minutes I already have it super creamy. And not three minutes of continuous use. You need to stop and scrap the walls. So actual using time it's way less. Add flavours in powder form, like cocoa, peanut powder, matcha... and toppings. If you use other fruit you will get sorbet because they don't have the same creamy consistency as bananas.

Great video! If I use a honeydew melon, which is mainly water, will I get a creamy texture, or will it come out more like an icy?
@YourEverydayJoe Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, I haven't tried it yet but I think if you allow the frozen honeydew to thaw out a bit where it's going to be a little bit softer but still frozen it should come out creamy like a sorbet. Either way it will be delicious.

I usually allow the bananas to slightly thaw until the outside is a bit soft but the inside is still frozen. I let them sit out on the counter for about 10-15 minutes.
