so you dont feel any difference in power between the two? and the pro is faster so better for defense?
@beruangloncat3 жыл бұрын
@@west9383 88D Pro is faster and lighter IMO. Hate to say you need extra effort to generate powerful smash. Even I add some power balance to add more weight. Still I can say that 88D Pro is all rounder rackets than 88D 2nd Gen. Depends your preferences and playing style this is not the same siblings anymore. In terms of power I use 100ZZ now for playing doubles.

One thing I've been telling my customers about the 88S v 88S Pro is the way they made the racket 5mm shorter, which I think they improved upon. The 88S and 88SP are both 5mm shorter than other Yonex rackets, but the 88S is shorter in the handle, whereas the 88SP they made shorter in the shaft (handle is more normal length). So 88S and 88SP is meant to be a "front" player racket, but if you hold both at the bottom of the racket, which one would do if they were in the back court, then yes the 88S and 88SP are 5mm shorter if you did the same with any other Yonex racket, but if you are in the front court and you are holding your racket higher up on the grip then the 88S' remaining racket length would be the same as any other Yonex racket, however if you are choking up on the 88SP, then it is actually 5mm shorter than other rackets. I think this was a design improvement to make the racket shorter when it should be shorter.

Idk about 2nd gen 88D. But I own three of the 2018 1st gen 88D and they're definitely less stiff than my two 88D Pro. I might be part of the minority here, but I prefer the 2018 model. 😊

Tried the 99 pro and 88d pro today. I switched to 88D from ZF2 few years ago since I was playing more doubles and wanted something faster but playing singles today with the 99 pro really made me realize how much I enjoy the head heavy stiff rackets in singles. I found the 88D pro to feel a little too light for singles compared to my 88D but not sure if that was just me, I'll have to try the 88D pro for doubles compared to my 88D

I can't decide whether or not to get the 88D pro or 88s pro, I currently have the voltric lite 4u and it almost feels like an even balanced Racquet even though its head heavy. I am looking for a similar feeling Racquet but not sure how the 88D or 88S pro feels interms of how heavy the head feels

Both will feel significantly different to voltric lite, but better! If you want more speed, go for the S Pro. If you want more power, go for the D. I’d recommend you go for the 4U since you’ve been at 4U.

@CK Yew, I saw your power comparison video. So the 100zz has a more solid feel and is like an improved version of ZFII and the 88d pro is lighter and less powerful. So as a singles player who needs more power from quick wrist actions for a stronger smash and quicker backhand and faster drives. So, I know the 100 will be more powerful and solid and the 88d pro will be less powerful but more quicker. So which racket do you think will benefit me in the long run. I know many people said 100zz will take some time to get used to and the 88d pro will be easier to use. After using either of these rackets for about 6 months, do you think the 100zz or the 88d pro will help me more in my game because I want a racket to feel like an extension of my hand
