Jonas, great work! 4.0 senior, OHB, some top but mostly flat and slice, great touch, medium racket head speed, sort of compact strokes, could use some help with pop. I’ve been playing with the Shift99 prototype. Like how it feels but developing a bit of sensitivity in elbow, not bad though. I am not searching for a new racquet. I was told a few things: 1) The Shift does not jive with my type of strokes, therefore prone to sensitivity.2) I should consider the new Ezone 100 and/ or the new Clash 100. The new PD looks interesting, but I worry about sensitivity…. The Head Gravity 98 Tour looks interesting, but wonder if it matches my level and style. So, I think I will look at the Ezone, Gravity and Clash. From your experience, which would IYO be more of a match for my style and level. I always use a gut/ poly hybrid ( Champions choice) . But I would like to try a full poly like Yonex poly tour pro. Your game has improved so much, Jonas. All the best, John

I used to be a big Yonex fan until I switched to the Wilson Blade. But I never give up on Yonex however.....I tried the 98 and the 100. The 98 felt not good at all. Compared to the Blade, this one felt like a 4by4. The 100 is very nice....but when I asked myself is it any better than what I have now (Blade 98)....nope...it gave me almost the same feel and I was hitting as hard with the blade as with the Yonex. I use the Ezone 98 but play with the Clash 98 V2 when my elbow plays up. Both great rackets. The Ezone has more power but the Clash has more comfort and control. I had the Clash strung at 48lbs to give it a little more power. Hoping this new Ezone has a little more comfort and control as it's doesn't need more power in my view!!
@raulrodrigueznyc15 күн бұрын
But is it worth the upgrade for a current EZone 98 user? I also use Tour Bite to add more spin to my game and it is my string of choice. For serving it is quite accurate and I can git some really good powerful forehands with it. What I like about the EZone is that it is a great racquet for me when I am in defensive trouble. I do not get that from my ProStaff and Blade. Sometimes it can be too powerful for me which is why I am learning to add more topspin to my game. If I am playing against a heavy hitter / server, that is when I will prefer my ProStaff but overall I love returning serve on this.
@yonexfan1215 күн бұрын
I use tour bite too, kudos! Is it worth it? I'd say never, it won't win you a match you would lose with the old ezone, but if your current ezones are 2 years ish old and you play 3 times a week and string often, your current ezones are used up.

I am surprised about the spin comments. I know the Ezone is not a spin racquet like the Vcore or Aero but always felt that it had good spin potential. Is that not the case?
@nicholasmorre737115 күн бұрын
It doesn't give you free or automatic spin like an Aero or Vcore, but it offers excellent spin *potential* due to its aerodynamic frame and low SW whip. This is one of the reasons the Ezone 98 is special for me. I can hit as flat as I want with a low launch angle, and I can add spin whenever I want without the frame dictating one way or the other.
