How about HSS with remote trigger, such as the YN622C?
@DelphiTheDolphin11 жыл бұрын
As far as I know the first version of the YN568EX wasn't able to do HSS... is there any hint on the flash itself, stickers or the box it came in that shows a difference? The Yongnuo-website itself says that the only difference between the 568EX and EX II are HSS and Master-mode... and at the same time it says the 568EX (without II) can do HSS now too.... quite odd. I don't feel very sure to buy a one without knowing a mark to identify the HSS function...
@DannyFyffe11 жыл бұрын
It does say on the box HSS. I even showed that on the video so the version II does indeed have HSS and it works all the way to 1/8000 of a second as I demonstrated that too.

Hi. If i got yn622c would i be able to comtrol power of 500ex thru the camera (6d) ?
@DannyFyffe12 жыл бұрын
manual mode makes no difference on that. In amnual mode you set your aperture and shutter speed, but shooting is the same so the Yongnuo will shoot the same as it did in AV. Thanks for the question.

Any way to trick my YN560s to do this; I own 3 of them, or do I need to buy some 568EXs? Thx.

My 568 didn't work with my Nikon D7000. At higher shutter speeds I get the black bars on the pictures. Anyone has the same problems when using the flash on a Nikon camera? Thanks

At 1/4000 shutter speed, the background of the photo was not dark, because the flash power on the speedlight has to be in manual mode and the aperture needs to be narrower. If it's in TTL, then it won't work.
@DannyFyffe5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that tip. Hopefully it helps others out. Thanks for watching and contributing to the conversation.

Hi Danny - I have the YN568EX on my Canon 5D Mark III. When I set the flash on High Speed and set the camera to Tv, as I increase the shutter speed from 1/60 to 1/400 to 1/1000 to 1/4000 & 1/8000 the photos get progressively darker. What am I doing wrong?
@gilbertsantos99499 жыл бұрын
+Vik Kumar please let me interrupt the shutter speed control the ambient light but the subject still the same exposure.so as your shutter speed go higher in number ( ie 1/____) your background become darker .Very useful in shooting under the sun .

Danny, isn't the background supposed to get darker as you shorten the duration? with all the shots here and HSS on, the background stayed the same.

Ok, to your knowledge, do you know if this flash will sync 'off camera' at 1/8000th sec? Or is it just 1/250th sec?

can you get this result with alien bees? or anything faster that 1/200
@DannyFyffe10 жыл бұрын
I have never used Alien Bees, but these do have HSS which will match your camera to 1/8000th of a second. It will drain he batteries much faster and the light is weaker because of all the pulses, but it certainly works.

I had plenty of light on so in this case, little affect would be noticeable.

Hi Danny. I was wondering if it only does high speed sync on ttl. I was thinking of getting one to use as a manual flash for my fuji. cheers steve
@DannyFyffe8 жыл бұрын
These are only made for Canon or Nikon so they would not work on a Fuji. Sorry.
@b991228 Жыл бұрын
You should have done the test with a Yongnuo Transceiver shooting off camera. The hardware would operate equally well yet you get the advantages of getting the improved lighting when shooting off-camera. The transceivers are a great buy and easy to operate.

I did this test 10 years ago. I appreciate you viewing it and commenting,
@DannyFyffe10 жыл бұрын
Vik Kumar: I cannot reply directly to ou for some reason. You weren't doing anything wrong. Remember as your aperture gets smaller you allow less light in for less time so your pictures will be darker. Also, the flash is firing in microbursts instead of one hard flash so you also have less light there. So HSS sync is a trade off usually when you are in bright conditions, but as you stop down, you do allow less light in for less amounts of time as your shutter speed goes up. That is the exposure triangle at work.

Do you think this will work with the 5d mark iii? If so are the only settings that you had to setup for this to work is enabling HSS on the flash?
@DannyFyffe9 жыл бұрын
That is exactly what I shoot with so I can say yes, it definitely works with it.
@c0pyimitati0n9 жыл бұрын
Danny Fyffe so i just need the flash and that's it? Nothing else?
@DannyFyffe9 жыл бұрын
If you fire it on camera then that's it. If you are firing it remotely, you need a trigger of some sort.

does 7d work on burst mode during hss..
@DannyFyffe10 жыл бұрын
It will, but remember that during HSS the flash is actually pulsing 1,000's of times and so your light will be far less than when not using HSS and your batteries will get depleted very quickly. Only use HSS when absolutely necessary if you are shooting a long event like a wedding outside.

will this fire with a RF603 trigger ?
@DannyFyffe9 жыл бұрын
+Tet chaje tv I do not have those triggers, but I would guess they would. A trigger just sends a Fire command and as long as it is ETTL, I don't see how they can't fire them.

When it is fully charged, you could do some, but after a bit it would take time to recharge the flash so it can fire again.

Nice video! Someone asked if this flash will sync with the 7D at 1/8000th off camera, you just said you'd make them a video and didn't say either way. So does it sync?
@DannyFyffe9 жыл бұрын
From my description I said Yongnuo HSS Test on the Canon 7D. I use TV on the canon to remove all ambient light. Next, I shoot images at 250th, 500th, 1,000th, 2,000th, 4,000th and 8,000th of a second to show that HSS does work on the Yongnuo 568EX Flash. So yes, HSS will sync all the way to 1/8000th of a second. Does that help?

@gap613311 жыл бұрын
I had sent the same basic question to the ThePhotoGaget and this is that reply: Thanks for your message. 568EX supports remote HSS as well. However the built-in flashes of Canon cameras are not able to trigger HSS. You would have to use ST-E2 or a compatible radio flash trigger like YN622 or a Canon 580 EX flash. Thanks again! Have you had experiences contrary to this, that is to ask, have you had to use a flash trigger also to get the 586EX to fire off camera? Thanks GAP PS: good video

Just leave it on HSS all of the time, there's no need to turn it off.
@DannyFyffe9 жыл бұрын
If you do that, you will wear your batteries out in only a few flashes. Only use it when necessary. Do NOT leave it on. HSS will also not give you the flash power you will require on longer distances.
@canturgan9 жыл бұрын
Danny Fyffe If you go below the flash sync speed it will automatically adjust to short duration flash output so there is no need to worry.
