Yongnuo Custom Functions for the 568EX are hard to figure out on the flash itself. I put it on the Canon 5D Mark III and take the mystery out of the cryptic language that is Yongnuo!

Thanks Danny, Very Helpful - what we all need now is a complete capabilities and setup walk-thru of the 568. First, there are the Canon native modes. Then, there is mapping what the 568 can do to one of the Canon speedlites. Off-camera modes are still not clear to me - what is communicated between the camera's built in flash ( I have the T4i/650D) or the master flash and the 568? What do the Yongnuo RF wireless 622's do? I think give you full control like the flash was on-camera.

Danny I welcome all the help I can get with the Yongnuo YN568EX Flash, I am stuck trying to change Camera Set Top Trigger to Wireless Trigger I can't set the SC/SN/S1/S2 functions with the Mode Button and I am Using the Canon 6D So I don't know if that make a difference at all. I think I am understanding that with the YN622C Transceivers I don't ha

It has the canon and Nikon mode. As far as off camera, it works identically as the Canons do as it is ETTL it just doesn'rt seem to trigger as far as the canon's and specifically the 580 EX II is the only difference I can find. I don't have the 622's, only Pixel Kings, but a ETTL trigger is going to be the same. They relay all the ETTL info and set the power and other settings. So as far as difference, only the distance, but how far do you want your flash away anyhow?

If I understand what you are asking, it is FEC or Flash exposure Compensation. All that does is puts out more or less light by your settings. + 1 or +2 or +3 will make it brighter by 1, 2 or 3 stops and conversely, -1, -2 and -3 will put out less light by 1, 2 or 3 stops. The zoom function is to be used when you want to broaden or narrow your beam of light. at 105mm the beam will be more narrow and focused and go out further in a stronger beam of light. At 24 or 14 even, it will be much broader.

Can I disable auto power off with the Canon Custom Functions menu even though the flash is off camera?

Are there ANY videos explaining the wireless custom functions of the 568EX, like wireless/triggerless flash? Every review I've seen has been about the on-camera functions.
@DannyFyffe

There is no such thing as a triggerless flash so the answer would be no. A flash must be triggered somehow.

Any ETTL triggers are going to act the same so that is how I knew they would work although I don't have the 622's. I have Pixel Kings and they work all the way to 1/8000 on them as well. Since you have the flash and triggers, please post a video and let us know and I would happily watch it. Thanks for commenting.

Montehacho01: i have not yet done a HSS test with it, but I will just for you. I literally just now came in from testing it outside to see how far it will shoot optically. I will get it posted later so stay tuned today. I will then use it for HSS Would you like it tested indoors or outdoors? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on my next video.

Hi, I have a Nikon d3100 and this is all very new to me I am trying to use too flashes master and slave and I can not get them to sync
@DannyFyffe
@DannyFyffe 9 жыл бұрын
Jacqueline Shields You have to make sure your wireless is on and the flash on the camera is set to master and on the slave, it must be set to slave. If not, they will not talk. I use Canon so I don't know much about Nikon, but it should work in a similar manner.

I don't have to worry about my flashes being in the slave mode, am I right about that with these triggers/transceivers?
@DannyFyffe
@DannyFyffe 11 жыл бұрын
That is right. Your triggers set that and take care of it. That is why you can't turn your wireless on as the trigger, aka, transceiver is controlling all of that functionality. Hope that helps clear it up.

Remember that flouresent light "blink", your eyes might not perceive that but maybe that "blink" is messing the sensor.

I do not. Are you hand holding? It sounds like the weight may be making you shake slightly and zooming in does emphasize the shake even more. Put it on a tripod or flad steady surface and retry. The flash cannot cause that behavior. Let me know how that works out for you.

Hi Danny, Bill H. here, I shoot with the Canon 6D and I Bought the Yongnuo YN560 II, YN565EX, YN568EX to include the YN622C (1 for each Flash and 1 on Camera) the Request I have seeing that there is no training or tutorial vids for the YN Flashes I would really like it if someone would put together a training video set for these Flashes I would buy them I am also looking at the the YN622TX for Canon when it comes out seeing that the YN-E3-RT will only work with the YN600EX-RT. I like to learn and excel in what I do but right now I am having the hardest time learning my flashes. I need some help.

Bill: I have not used the yn 622 triggers. I use the Pixel Kings, Pixel King Pro and Pixel King X triggers. However, a trigger should be a trigger and I believe those are ettl triggers. You should be able to pretty much use them automatically. Have you seen my latest videos with the Pixel King Pro triggers? Let me know if I can show something specifically as I'd love to help you out.

I don't know. maybe you need to lock up your mirror or perhaps the tripod was a bit loose on one of it's legs or a cat brushed it, but other than that, I don't know. If you are talking about narrowing the redlight beams on the flash that control the wireless, I don't know of anyway that can be done.

You have the trigger on camera as the master and both flashes as a slave. You can also put the 568 on camera as the master and your 465 can be a slave and will fire.
