That was extremely helpful. I struggled for an hour last night with lousy (hysterical, pigeon-English) manual before assuming that the trigger I got was defective. Now it works perfectly. I have a big shoot coming up shortly and I though I was going to lose my mind. Thanks!

A great video explanation of connecting the RF-603II to the camera and using the remote flash. The manual that comes with the flash does not really explain it like this video in detail that it provides. Thanks for doing this!

Thanks so much for this video. Very helpful. Just to add this one, if anyone is a newbie like me, I tried to fire these with my Canon 70D and realized that it would not fire if I was using live view. Just an extra side note to this awesome video. Smh. I know better now.

for off camera flash you dont have to set the unit attached to the camera to TRX , TX will do, only the unit attached to the flash would be on TRX since its the one receiving.

Hello, 1- When the RF 603 II is mounted on the Camera in order to trigger a remote flash, does it need to be triggered itself by the built in flash of the camera? Or by a signal from the shoe of the camera? 2- If I DO NOT want the built in flash of the camera to open and flash, but I need only the remote flash to trigger and flash, can this be achieved? 3- Will the remote flash light intensity be also controlled? Or it will always flash to the maximum? 4- Is RF 603 II compatible with Nikon D 5300? I see D5000 and D5100 only in the compatibility list. Thank you.

I was wondering if you can tell my why my camera will not fire the flash remotely when my camera is in live view mode. The flash works fine when attached to the camera in standard and live view, but not when I attach the triggers and try and fire the flash that way in live view.

Question: Are you able to mount a flash on top of the trigger on the camera, syncing with the off camera flash and have the flash on the camera send and receive the TTL information to/from the camera ??

I have a pair of 603ii's and I have no problem using them with my Yongnuo speed lights except for the 568EXii. It seems like the triggers don't communicate at all when one of them is on the 568EX. Any clue as to why this set up isn't working?

a question: if I use the pop-flash on-camera to trigger a remote flash, I can adjust the power with the menu on display. if I attach a 603N as transceiver on camera hot-shoe and a 603N as receiver on a off camera flash, can I use the menu on-camera to adjust the power of the flash?

Any idea why this won't work for My Canon Rebel T5? It shouldn't require any settings on my camera, you didn't change anything and it worked..I've tried every thing with this thing and cant get it to fire off camera flash. ALL I wanted was to eliminate the flash cord I had to use that gave me a lousy 3 feet distance..
@heitorchaves51449 жыл бұрын
+thenaturallyinsane1 Maybe the triggers are not on the same channel. The guy in the video failed to show that, but inside the battery compartment, you will find 4 switches. You can make 16 combinations with them, by turning them on and off; each combination is a different channel. All the triggers must be on the same channel (same combination of switches) for them to be able to communicate with each other. On the Yongnuo YN560's speedlites you can see on the speedlite's screen which combination represents each channel; but if you don't have one, you cannot know by looking in the trigger alone, you can only know that they are on the same channel by setting up the same combination on them. But if you search on Google, you may be able to find a chart that shows which combination represents each channel.

If you just have 2 receivers, can I hand hold the flash and trigger the camera/flash from it's receiver?
@tytlyf4 жыл бұрын
@Paul Fensome Actually, I've been using just 2 of the RF603's for years now. One on camera hotshoe, other bottom of handheld flash. Press button on flash receiver, camera takes photo. This allows me to walk around the room with the flash and not limit myself to using stands.
@tytlyf4 жыл бұрын
@Paul Fensome I use the Streaklight 360 w/ battery pack. I wear the battery on my hip, so nothing tethering me to the camera. Both of the Yongnuo's are identical. Each has a shutter button. I just press the shutter button on the flash receiver and that activates the shutter. The hotshoe is connected to the camera via the Sony interface input on side of camera.

If I have 2 cameras and on each of them will be yongnuo transceivers to trigger 2 flashes with same yongnuo trasceivers - will they work just as well?
@alabdelrosario7 жыл бұрын
yes just as long as they have the same settings, or the same frequency range which you would set inside the battery compartment of the unit.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me here. I just bought these exact same triggers. I can't get it to fire from my Canon T3i to the remote trigger attached to the same TT560 Speedlite you're using. The flash never fires. Is there a setting in my camera I need to change? Thank you in advance.
@pjurmaineproductions8418 жыл бұрын
Are you using live view? Mine wouldn't trigger while I was using live view. As soon as I went to the regular mode they fired off beautifully. Hope that helps.
