I got this game for Switch a week ago and it's brilliant. I yearned for something like Breath of the Wild, that I adore, and Fenyx Rising checks all the boxes for me. I like Zeus and Prometheus interactions, the conversations are funny and never tedious, even if a bit cringy sometimes. And I'm a huge Greek mythology nerd, so the setting for me is perfect 😂 Too bad Ubisoft didn't advertise this little gem properly, it seriously deserve so much more!

Ironically, I bought this Fenyx game after I found Cyberpunk awful. Believe it or not, this Ubisoft game has WAY more content than Cyberpunk & is more of an open world RPG. Plus, it's fun & runs great, even on switch, & has CROSS PLATFORM SAVE FILES! It's like a cross between Disney, God of War 'junior', AC Odyssey & Zelda shrines

Seems like the smart thing to do is to not engage with the "scouting" system, at least not cheese it through walls and such. The shrines and other points of interest seems to be pretty noticable when walking around, so maybe just not scouting ahead and just start exploring instead will give that BOTW feel

Not exatcly ubisoft really made a lot of great games(Rayman, valiant heart, far cry , AC ). Meh I wouldn’t say that. I’ve played about 30 hours and while it has missed the point of BOTW’s more organic exploration it does a better job giving a better variety of exploration. In BOTW you’ll mostly be doing the same 3 things over and over with the occasional difference. In Immortals there’s much more variety in the not only the exploration but the combat and moment to moment gameplay.

Either Valhalla or Immortals were going to take the fall for releasing next to Cyberpunk. I would have let Valhalla take the hit since it has the AC name carrying it but Immortals will suffer from a lack of sales due to Cyberpunk (not a good move since it may be the start of a new Ubisoft franchise).

BOTW has a tighter focus on its freedom and how each individual element interacts with each other but Immortals has more variety in moment to moment gameplay, a much larger combat system and a lot more enemy variety. Immortals in some cases actually outdoes BOTW in how you can exploit the physics to complete a task. To me this is like a Code Vein situation, you can see the inspirations clearly but there’s enough there to call it’s own and bits into.

played around 4 hours (2 crashes when activating that yellow portal after a challenge on PC) and must say it's very good. The humor might be special for a lot of people (works for me luckily), but the gameplay itself is really fun. "Tip" for PC, you can subscribe to Uplay+ for 15- dollar/month, cancel it, and enjoy the game. I myself bought it with 20% off with those weird ubicoins you get every now and then.

I really really hate the follow the icon open world formula. It ruins the exploration. You never really have a reason to walk everywhere as you know there is nothing in that area. Best to just let players explore and find shit on their own. Morrowind is a prime example of just letting the players explore.

This game is really fun. I love exploring and unlocking chests and collecting gear and mats. For me, the puzzles are definitely the best part. I’m really taking my time with it, in no rush to beat it. Just exploring the world and enjoying the graphics. Its not breathe of the wild but it’s fun af.

Idk about those fake ratings, I got hit hard with the plagiarism flag, had to go into the head office for disciplinary review to discuss it, and every single “flag” was in ... the references. As in, the authors and titles were flagged as “plagiarism”. Didn’t even get an apology, There were seven people in the room. There were even people on a conference call who were involved. Crazy, bureaucratic power-mad infants. The fact that nobody checked it until the “review” was eye opening. Passed anyway.

​@@ClarkusMarkus Plagiarism of Zelda BOTW. Same style, look, design, puzzles, collectibles, almost like they took a checklist of BOTW and built the game around it, then added a story to make it work. As for the thesis, I guess you don't know about TurnItIn / plagiarism detection in assignment submissions. for the last decade or so, "everything" gets uploaded to TurnItIn or other assignment marking sites that check for quoted material, references, and copy-pasted material that has been changed. Some will tell you if it's a problem, so you can resubmit, while the first few versions didn't tell you shit. Only that it was submitted before the due date. In my case, they didn't inform me at all if it detects plagiarism after you upload, because it was a new system and I had to be told 3 weeks after that I was being accused of Plagiarism and would be expelled. Hilarious ... In that time period, nobody actually checked the report generated, or gave the option to resubmit. Since the sites get tens of thousands of assignments globally, it can flag similar or common phrases where names are repeated, adverbs replaced, unique phrases from other people's assignments, etc even in different languages. So, If it has seen 5,000+ reports on Romeo and Juliet, it will flag most of the sentences as "plagiarism" that people reuse, mis-spellings of Shakespeare, all kinds of idiot things. You have no idea how weird it can get. So, TurnItIn and others sometimes have an acceptable range, which you can go in and fix, or provide an explanation for, and a trigger plagiarism threshold, which will then report you to the staff/lecturer for a disciplinary meeting for expulsion or suspension, even if you revise, edit, fix or delete the work before the due date , because it keeps records of your previous submissions. It can flag you for using all kinds of common phrases or sentences that resemble other people's writing. In my case, it highlighted 5/10 quotes I used, as well as the references / bibliography, because other people had used the same references in their assignment before, on a similar topic.

@@insanittiez4860 It's ok, I understand :). But still, keep your eye on Cyberpunk, there are multiple ways to play. Ex. In my first playthrough, I'm going for a melee netrunner (hacker). Cyberpunk will eventually release a 3rd person mode and multiplayer (wait about a year). In the meantime, try Witcher 3 (if you haven't already). I heard of CDPR from Witcher 3 (like a good chunk of people) and now I'm a diehard fan. Basically, they won me over with good consumer practices. That's why I recommend it.

I definitely under used the godly powers. I started off on hard mode, and the game was still kind of easy. Not really a bad thing, as the game is meant to make you feel powerful, and nightmare is actually hard. Atalanta was by far the highlight of the game for me, followed by just exploring the world. I went into Atalanta a little early, and I focused only on her. Managing attacking her while dodging and positioning the bear is so fun. That combat is echoed through the whole game, but Atalanta was the peak. Just unlocking chests with all the puzzles was just plain fun.

Well, this is actually looking pretty decent. Might be good to keep an eye on and get when I'm done with my current stuff.
