I lived in York from 1973-1979. I was 12 when we moved To Tennessee. I have wonderful memories of living there. I still miss it more then 40 years later. Truthfully if my father hadn't passed away in 1978 we would have never moved. Downtown was very busy. There used to be a store called The Dollar Bill. I remember the ice cream store that was on the right as you went into the town. Me and my friends rode our bikes all over the place. My mom worked at a restaurant but I can't remember the name but the owners last name was chambers. Thanks for the memories ❤

My grandparents and mother were born in sumpter county. They were fortunate enough to own a 120 acre farm where we still have family reunions. Oh. the name of the intro song is "Your love is rated x, by Johnny Taylor"...

I live in York and it is very sad to see people do this. What’s even more sad is that the Police doesn’t do anything about it. So many things happen here right in the middle of town and they do nothing. I can not even tell you how many drug exchanges I have seen, the amount of smell that walks by my house, pulling in the parking lot of the family dollar and smelling weed, seeing so many people pull guns, and even people trying to rob us. I live across from a man who steals from everyone in York and he still has the audacity to ask me and more folks for money in town. I just cuss him out and threaten to call the cops knowing good well they won’t do anything about it. Avery brave for y’all to drive around town.

We have traveled to so many smaller, older towns in the South and luckily, this was the only time we had a bad incident. It’s sad to hear that the police aren’t willing to step in and do anything where there is clearly a problem

Hearing the police don't do anything is probably why the crime rate isn't bad

I'm not a lawyer but my understanding of Alabama's "stand your ground" laws is that you have the right to use deadly force to defend yourself. Now I do understand everyone wasn't raised the same as me, but I was always taught that you only pointed a gun at something you intended to shoot and kill. So, if it had been me driving your car, the second that gun was pointed at me, I would have taken action to end the threat immediately. I understand I may be arrested, but I was always told it was better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6. It's a sick crazy world with too many guns in the hands of too many of the wrong people. I mean what type of person would point a gun at you just for driving by? A person who damn sure doesn't need to be carrying a gun around. Think about this, by not ending that threat immediately by extreme prejudice you left a nut with a gun to kill another day. Who knows who he may kill tomorrow? Maybe me? Thanks for not saving someone's life😠

Just watched in slow motion, 500x magnification on a 65 inch TV. Oh yeah! That was a gun, Dirty Harry keeping the crime rate low. Good videos keep 'em comin'
