York Maze Hallowscream Vlog 13th October 2018

Join us as we head to York Maze and check out Hallowscream for the very first time and wow, what an awesome scare attraction it is, also met up with good friends Tom and Stacy
Hallowscream is home to 5 well themed mazes, roaming actors, entertainment and a Waltzer, each maze was so good that I found it hard to pick the best of the night and it is definitely worth a visit

Hallowscream has become massive over the past few years. I used to go every year, with my first year being 2010 as I’m very local to the area. It was amazing even back then as they used to use the full maze as one of the scare attractions and going out on the tractor they would leave you in the middle of the maze and you’d have to find your way back out whilst things were chasing you and jumping out, it was amazing. They have lost that however and it’s become too big in my opinion as I last went in 2016. Looks so different being in a massive tent! But at least that would help of it rained heavy :)

I remember that too! I loved walking round the big maze with a torch praying to find the exit. No-one else seems to remember that’s how it was!

@@Coaster_Crazy None of the attractions were actually in the maze, it was just spare maize plants which they placed to give the effect. The actual corn maze is on the other side of the park.

Always knew it was a fantastic event! After doing the preview night for this, I knew it was really one event that'll compete with the best in the UK and contains fantastic scares. Really can't wait for what they'll do for 2019 if there's any changes or new mazes and I'm aiming for the press night again this year so cannot wait! Great Vlog, this vlog dropped literally 5 minutes after I decided we were going to york maze, after reading that it had won ScareCON Best Scare Park 2018, so thanks for showing us what it is like. Can’t wait. BTW stop bashing towers 😂😂😂 We did towers in the day, and Burton at night last Saturday, and Sub Species was by far the best maze of the day, didn’t get good run throughs at Burton, it was too busy... The queues were much longer at Burton too 😯

Nicky Borrill you will love it, amazing scare attraction 👍🏻👍🏻 I only bash Towers because I never really have a great day out there, always too busy and the park is too big and not enough rides to fill it I did Scarefest a couple of years ago and I literally had the worst day in a theme park ever, I only managed to get on a few rides and 1 scare maze (Skin Snatchers) all day and it’s an expensive day out and I was on my own

Coaster Crazy fair enough, I can see your reasoning. I would hate to lose the park from the UK line up though, and I fear it came close over the last couple of years. So it does worry me when enthusiasts bash the place. You’re not the only one. They do need some small flats to spread the queues a little, nothing big, bringing back ripsaw, dynamo, submission etc would help for example, cheap to buy, cheap to maintain and cheap to run (2 ops) but make such a big difference. Having said that we’ve only really seen big queues for smiler and Wickerman this year.

The room at 9:17 was the zero gravity room. There is a huge magnet behind the wall and they built the room on 45 degrees angle. Therefore the brain can't handle it!
