Lived in UK for most of my life and never thought of learning how Yorkshire pudding is made and wow, it’s so easy to make!

Brings back excellent memories. As a young Frenchman (and as a student of English) I discovered Yorkshire, its astounding forks, its numerous wonders (of one kind and another). Learnt how to brew a proper cuppa and how to drink it nice and slow, how to enjoy a pint (many morein fact) of Tetley's bitter and how to relish mi teaaa ...loovley Soonday roast with veggies and those grand Yorkshire puds. Was in 'uddersfield by gum! Miss you all and your country.

OK...I’m going to the market & get a nice beef roast ! Make a yum gravy to go with & a recipe of these !!! We had some when we traveled in Great Britain & we’re staying at a wonderful B & B in the countryside. The lady of the house was a fabulous cook! We scheduled with her to do dinner for us & a family we were visiting. I remember to this day how wonderful it was! We were outside Blackpool.

The trick is to pour the mixture as quickly as possible and get those Yorkies back into the heat. You get the best rise that way, and avoid doughy bottoms (though personally I like that part)

Hi Apron.. I wrote down your recipe but out of curiosity I, pardon me, had to go back read a bit about how it's traditionally made and calculating quantities of ingredients of various recipes I discovered that your amounts tho seem fine but might be the reason why the puddings came out not like little bowls (tho yours look decorative and great for serving guests 👌🏻) as the rims appeared over crusty. Maybe because you didn't lower down temps about 20 degrees as soon as you closed the oven door for it's recommended. I still kept your recipe, dear and will have a go two times to prove a point to myself. Thank You 💐 for bringing us the best of recipes.. always. Love ya. 💋

Made this recipe today and they turned out great! The only issue (and it's totally my fault) is, if you pour too much batter into a single muffin cup, the batter won't rise. My toaster oven isn't hot enough in some areas so the Yorkshire pudding doesn't rise properly in those spots too. Will definitely try this recipe again with less batter in each tin!

Don't use anything with a raising agent in. Also, never use butter; the fat has to be so hot it's started smoking so something with a higher smoke point like lard or rapeseed oil is best. Also, leave it to rest at room temperature not in the fridge.
@hana.the.writer50743 жыл бұрын
@@Sinvisigoth I noticed that resting time varies in between recipes but half an hour is best and the reason she cooled it was for safety purposes since climate isn't like cold Yorkshire. 🙂

@@hana.the.writer5074 That's a good point. It's too easy to forget that our temperate climate is a lot kinder on the processes of putrefaction than others' are.

Seems like only people actually from Yorkshire knew how these are made 😂 My grandma would make 2 big trays full and we'd fill them with gravy and dip our roast potatoes in them with Sunday dinner 😂😋 (Also in Yorkshire no-one eats them with horseradish sauce, they are usually (if not always) an accompaniment to a Sunday/roast dinner)
