YORKSHIRE SCULPTURE PARK 4K BRETTON HALL DRONE DJI MINI 3 PRO

Bretton Hall was a large country house located in West Bretton near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, in the UK.
It was most recently known as Bretton Hall College from 1949 until 2001 and was a campus of the University of Leeds (2001-2007). It is a Grade II listed building.
In the 14th century the Bretton estate was owned by the Dronsfields and passed down through marriage to the Wentworths in 1407. King Henry VIII spent 3 nights in the old hall.
The magnificent we see today was originally designed and built around 1720 by its owner, Sir William Wentworth assisted by James Moyser to replace the earlier hall.
In 1792 it passed into the Beaumont family, (latterly Barons and Viscounts Allendale).
The hall was sold to the West Riding County Council in 1947.
The hall housed Bretton Hall College from 1949 until 2001 and was a campus of the University of Leeds from 2001 to 2007.
Plans to convert the hall to a hotel and offices were submitted for planning approval were approved in April 2013. The grounds and out buildings that surround the hall are now in disrepair and doesn’t quite look it’s best at the moment but clearly is going to be redeveloped with some investment. It would be nice to come back when the Hall is looking at it’s best again.
The surrounding grounds and parkland around the hall were the work of landscape gardeners Richard Woods in the 18th century and Robert Marnock, the estate's head gardener. The hall overlooks the River Dearne which flows through the parkland. There is also a dam separating two lakes.
Across the parkland there are several historic structures. Four lodges stand at the estate's main entrances.
The parkland spans across 224 acres and home to Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the 100 acre Bretton Country Park is now a beautiful nature reserve.

@crestknave. Someone who has very close links to the Hall let me know about a Public Path/Right of way which isn’t well known at all that is very close to the Hall which meant I could do everything above board. I did my best considering I couldn’t be as close as I would have liked which like you say is such a shame. Especially when you are showcasing a place and trying to make it look as good as possible. I believe the hall is going to be transformed with a lot of investment and so it will be nice to see such a place back to it’s former glory in the future as it’s not looking it’s best with a lot of those run down buildings surrounding the site in disrepair.

@@andytalbot6719 Fantastic and yes it will as a building like that won’t go to waste, not this time anyway. That’s why I enjoy bringing places to everyone’s attention either before they disappear and or change over time. Although I have been experimenting with different video formats etc to see what people enjoy such as car events etc. Tomorrows video is a tour of some of the hidden gems in Brighouse as most people that don’t live there only think about the Brighouse they know of such as the town centre but hopefully it will be a popular one as I have been experimenting with shots etc. Slowly slowly learning new things all the time. I just wish I had discovered photography decades ago lol. I would probably be good at it by now LOL
