Absolutely brilliant video. You should be signed up by the 3PR organising committee as official videographer/cheerleader!!

Hahah, Thank you very much, Ian. But I tend to do things better when it's out of passion not when I was being made anything "official".

Well done Olga, what a great film. I really enjoyed running it (for the 1st time) and this captures the atmosphere perfectly.

Thank you, Nick. I made this video as a summary, probably didn't include everyone in here. But at the moment, I am making 3 separate videos of everyone running at three different parts of the race.

Thank you for your kind commitment, Joanne. That's great that you used to run with Harry, also I love it that his grandson has followed his footsteps.

Great highlights video with lots of viewing points - it was nice that you ran alongside some of the competitors for mobile interviews. Hazardous stream crossing... was that just before the direct climb of Whernside which they only open for the race? What a classic event - I did it in 1995 and can still remember the leg pain on the final descent from Ingleborough.

Hi Gordon, yes that stream crossing was open this year for the race, then they were climbing up a steep way. After I saw loads of runners falling and hurting themselves near where the marshal was I started telling them to cross in a different place (because they were allowed to cross anywhere), it was safer about 50 meters before the marshal. Some of it was really scary to watch. Well done for doing the race. I could never make cut off times.

@@OlgasBritishFells Wet limestone is always bad but that stream doesn't have 'foot traffic' so it'll be extra slippery. It was scorching hot in 1995 and we weren't as aware of hydration back then - that big bottle pick-up at Ribblehead is a good idea - so lots of us were cramping.
@OlgasBritishFells8 ай бұрын
@@clippingin1593 oh interesting, I didn't realise that such what we thing of obvious things as hydration was not known about back then. I think the weather was perfect for it yesterday. The wind was cold at the top but not too bad when running. It would've been worse if it was hot. Not much shade there.

@@OlgasBritishFells I think fell-running lagged road-running because of the terrain and logistics. Back then there were more drinks stations in a road half marathon than in the Three Peaks, which is at least twice as hard!. Cups of water on tables at Ribblehead &The Hill Inn, a small bottle in the bumbag, but we didn't have camelbaks or the hydration vests which are popular today. Some fell-runners carried plastic bags of carb-powder and filled them from streams!
@OlgasBritishFells8 ай бұрын
@@clippingin1593 oh I didn't think of the hydration vests like nowadays. I still see a lot of people nowadays drinking from streams too. I do it occasionally.
