My first bolt action rifle was a Savage 110 in .30-06, bought it new in 1994. The action wasn't the smoothest, but it was accurate and reliable. I ended up trading it, but now I wish I still had it.

I have wanted a .222 for 50 years, and now Savage is the only one making one available in the U.S. I just bought a model 25 .222, with reservations, but I shouldn't have worried. The first handload I tried shot into .75" at 100yds. I am sure with some tweaking it will do better. Not a fancy gun, but the action is smooth and functions well, obviously shoots great. Wish they would make a model 12 laminated stainless varmint gun in .222. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I bought the mdl 25 Walking Varminter laminated stock in .17 Hornet a year ago. Took me two months before I could find ammo for it. Still trying to find some 25 grainers. Picked up a set of reloading dies too.

Most accurate factory rifle I've ever owned is a Savage Predator hunter Max-1 in 22-250. With handloads it'll shoot well under .5 MOA 5 shot groups every time

Thanks for this, my first ever centerfire rifle was a .308 Savage model 11 way back in 2012. I still take deer with it to this day!

Ya, but what about my favorite, the model 219!?!? The epitome of inexpensive single shot rifles!?!?!? Me want the full range of this fine rifle... How about bringing them back, as they were, slim, light, and ready?!?!

Very neat video. I have a couple of 116 Weather Warriors, one in 7MM Rem Mag and the other in 300 Win Mag. Both are great shooters and have been on several successful hunts.

Poor mans Winchester. Shoots as good if not better than most on the market. Always has and the not so well off could afford one. Not so cheap any more.

I wished ALL Savage guns were USA made. Too many made in Canada right now for me. It’s a USA company. Bring them all back to the USA.

Canadian QC is better, also, Savage bought Lakefield so the rim fire rifles are made in Canada still

If only America didn’t hVe unions that jack up wages to stupid levels. Then they negotiate ridiculous benefits packages. Consumers PAY for all that - or DON’T and your union jobs move out of the US.

I like American made, but after watching the Bergara factory tour video, the Savage factory looks, run down, dirty and way less modern technology than Bergara. Kind of made me sad 😳

I absolutely love the savage design ......with the barrel nut and floating bolt head...........I have rebarrelled several of them and its easy............the savage rifles are the pinnacle of simplicity and accuracy right out of the box............I would prefer they still offer classic synthetic stocks...........the newer styles they offer are gawdy looking in my opinion............They need to bring back the stevens 200 bolt action rifle...........the Axis II is ugly looking..............

Tell them to make their magazines actually fit not only the correct chambers but also the magwell itself! They are acurate guns but their end product is otherwise unacceptable. For anyone interested, they use a magazine that fits a .223 for their .350 legend. Thats just bad ethics.
@jamesfrancisco7308 Жыл бұрын
I liked them before the 60s. The today savage is junk! Saying that if savage wants to send me 7mm mag or 25/06 to try out I would, plus I know two other people would like to do the same. I would give a honest review on it.

My first Savage rifle, model 116 30-06 (1994), was a piece of junk. I waited over ten years to buy another Savage rifle model116 375 (2015) Ruger, and I replaced the factory stock. I waited again; I thought Savage had made some improvements, but no way? 110 Tactical 308W, the 20" barrel, a mess. It too where I had to replace the barrel with a Criterion barrel 22" march grade hand lapped. Lastly, the only thing about the 110 Tactical is that the factory stock is outstanding, but I did finally replace it with a KRG Bravo stock, which is better. Savage, no way. Stick with TIKKA rifles.
