Nigerian Men: When it comes to romance in Nigeria, women pick their men carefully. The qualities a woman looks for in Nigerian men is highly determined by him being a Yoruba or Igbo man.

Igbo men are know to be business oriented, not very romantic, faithful and most importantly they take care of their women financially, while Yoruba men on the other hand could be very romantic, spend lots of time with their women but could be unfaithful.
"An Igbo guy would want to use Igbo sense," says one lady
"I date Yoruba guys but Igbo is more romantic," another woman replies
But what kind of man do Nigerian women want?

Let me make this clear. An igbo guy may be the most romantic man you've met if he is serious about you and will like to marry you. If he doesn't see you in his priority list or his future, he's facing his business. Even when he plans to marry you, he naturally feels that he has to establish himself so that he can take care of his home. So he still may be not very romantic and appear distant. Again, generally igbo boys are not trained to be lovey dovey, they are constantly pressured to be Men and take care of business... however, when he has something settled and going on, he won't forget you were there with him during the struggles and he will be the most romatic guy you've met... It depends on who you ask . Igbo women said Yoruba guys, Yoruba girls said Igbo boys . I say it depends on who you meet . I'd rather be unromantic and away to work everyday so that I can pay the bills and take care of my wife and children than to be romantic and lacking in the resources aspect of life . Nnadoo Big insult o my dear.. I actually didn't know that yorubas feel kinda like that toward Igbos in anyway, I mean how is that even possible??? Until I had a yoruba girl tell me sometime ago that I don't look Igbo, that I look yoruba because I'm pretty and Igbo ladies have masculine jaws. My jaw dropped!! Because the yoruba girl saying this has cocked-eye (4:30 eye), and has the masculine jaw she was talking about. I was like "excuse me, I am 100% Igbo no addition or subtraction, and you're definitely the one with a masculine jaw".. I think they have such inferiority complex around Igbos that they always feel like putting them down however they can. I have dated both Yoruba and Igbo guys. If it comes to true romantic experience, Igbos are best, but if it comes to cheating and telling lies then Yoruba men are known for that.
