Definitely do research in Ọ̀yọ́ state to see expert Ẹẹ́rìndínlógún diviners. Please! Of course, not everyone in Ọ̀yọ́ has authentic training. But, you will see a BIG difference! I just want to add that I respect the work of true oníṣègùn, no doubt about it.

I used to know one iya in odo Owa Ekiti that uses “ Erindinlogun” late oni ife and obasanjo used to visit her but the Iya is late now. The Iya is so powerful.

I actually took time to ask the elders before responding to your comment as I have noticed you comment on aspects of Erindinlogun that differs from the way in which you were taught. I can tell you for a fact that you are wrong to think there is only one way to do Erindinlogun divination. I know Oyo very well and even over there, Olorishas have different methods. Unlike Opele/Ikin mode of divination which is attributed to Orunmila, erindinlogun is attributed to several Imoles (deities) so it is expected that the diviners will do it in different ways. My Olorisha Obatala in Oyo taught me differently from the way my Olorisha Olokun taught me and these reputable men are both in Oyo and both NEVER told me the other person is wrong when I ask for clarification. Try to understand that Ifa Orisha knowledge is vast and deep. 20 years of learning about Yoruba or Isese doesn’t make you an expert. With due respect, in front of learned Babalawos, you’re still at the beginning of the intermediate level of Ifa knowledge. I’ve seen several comments from you condemning the way people do their erindinlogun and I must say it’s an insult to see a foreigner (regardless of your supposed knowledge of ifa) lambasting aboriginals about how they connect to their ancestral forces via erindinlogun. People accord you respect because of our usual colonial mentality of always getting excited when we see foreigners speaking how native languages. Please don’t become that foreigner that is notorious for condemning aboriginals.

@@FaseAsaI actually concur with much of your comments. And I see you acknowledge my comments as well. And I stand by my statements. I know superb Ẹẹ́rìndínlógún diviners in various states of Yorùbáland...Ọ̀yọ́, Ọ̀ṣun, and elsewhere. And I also have been exposed to those with less expertise. Its hard not to see the obvious when one has been exposed.
