This song is about Elma walking through the town's of Sweden where Amy walked, correct ? So she already knew he had passed on at this point ? I have read Elma's Diary and Amy's letters but sometimes I am confused who writes which songs because apparently Elma writes some songs too and this one appeared in her diary as well (also mentions Amy at the ending )

It’s implied that this is Elma reminiscing about walking through Sweden. The whole of the album “Amy” is written from Elma’s perspective after Amy had passed, recollecting everything they had talked about and basically is Elma picking up the pieces and going through mourning. I think the only exception in “Amy” is Nautilus which if I am correct is written by Amy for Elma as their suicide note. Hope this clears things up!

@@thefangirllogic4726 thank you it explains a lot. I had heard before that the songs of this album were from Elma's perspective...I was just looking at these lyrics alone and thinking of how the lyrics seemed to know that Amy was already long gone which makes sense if this is simply Elma looking back on her journey collecting the remaining pieces of Amy's days... Also I've heard Amy was said to have a terminal illness but I didn't quite understand what that was all this time... and the emerald green liquid is it actually the ink he writes with ? at first I thought it was poison but I later came to think it's just ink ?

@@kuuhakuaozora6781 I’m glad I helped out! Also yeah I’ve heard they also had a terminal heart illness or that they had heart issues, not sure where that’s from but many people seem to have come to the conclusion that that’s part of why Amy ended their own life due to the problems associated with it (as well as many other factors). To my understanding Amy drinks the ink that they used to write to Elma with to end their own life (the ink referenced in 藍二乗, which is, as the title suggests a deep indigo. I believe writing ink can be toxic so that’s what), not sure what they mean by the emerald green though, I’ll look into it though and see what I can work out unless any Yorushika aficionados come and correct me lol

@@thefangirllogic4726 I see. When you dive deep into the Yorushika lore and story it is all very profound and sad. I did know that Amy was a struggling musician and saw Elma as being talented. Elma , afaik. was fascinated by Amy but did not actually care about music itself , only using it to get closer to Amy (based on what I've read of her diary ?) these two characters are very interesting as it feels they are somehow mirrors of each other in a way. Especially this song, I really love the sentiment in it. It's very deep and profound and I can imagine Elma following Amy's footsteps through these little towns in Sweden. Something I had only learned of recently was that Amy and Elma are actually from Japan ! for a while I had thought they were from Sweden ! Although there were places mentioned in Japan so I guess it should be obvious to me. I also wondered if the 2 were in a relationship since it feels that they definitely had some deep feelings for each other in some way

Man you can hear Emerald green window's guitar riff in the second verse. N-buna is really hitting it with the parallels
