When I was young my family went to Yosemite every summer for a month long vacation. I saw the fire fall every night that we were there, last time was in 1967. Amazing to see. Wish I could go back and see it again.
@epzamora3 жыл бұрын
That may have been a different firefall, the one that was man-made and fell above Camp Curry. It ceased in 1968. The NATURAL Firefall is on the opposite end of Yosemite Valley

Thank you for this outstanding video! I went to Yosemite yesterday. I’ve never seen so many people hike toward one point. Cars were parked for miles in either direction of Horsetail Fall. And that was with (a limited amount of) entry tickets required to get into the park!

Someone needs to research the real fire falls that used take place in Yosemite each night back in the 50's and 60's. A little better reporting and information gathering would be nice, then people would know the history of the fire falls.

A mile long hike w a truck driving by in the background?😂
@californiahiker96163 жыл бұрын
@LucindaBern, this normally is a 2 lane road for cars, not a hiking trail. During the annual “Firefall” event one lane is open to through traffic, the other lane becomes a hiking trail. And yes. Some people had to hike 3 miles or more to get there. I saw it yesterday. It’s been like this for several years now. It’s been discovered by the masses.

How sad that you'd deprive yourself bc you think your own mind is too weak to withstand hearing opposing perspectives. Are you that afraid that you might be wrong, or that you're incapable of thinking for yourself? You do realize conservatives live in Cali too, right? This is why I've been an Independent for over 18 years, people are so tribalistic with their political affiliations that their whole lives are dominated & restricted by their party category. Sad.
