Yeah, and it's not "nostalgia goggles" either. This leans far too hard into the "cute baby vibe" that it won't even allow a single moment of badassery which yoshi's island had plenty of.

This is like if Yoshi's Island on the Snes was made for kids 6 and below. The boss battle music is so non-threatening, and compare the giant bowser battle to baby bowser in the snes version - no way near as threatening looking. This is like some fangame that didn't understand the appeal of yoshi's island

I actually can’t believe Nintendo released it. The graphics look worse than a flash game from 2006 and the music sounds like they were trying to make it sound horrible

I remember the original SNES version as a kid. It was a game ahead of its time; Incredible graphics, spectacular music, an entertaining story developed through fun but challenging gameplay. Simply a work of art. I didn't know this version existed until I came across this video. How could Nintendo approve the publication of this? It's terrible everywhere you look, what a disappointment.

How about no bowser at all this time as we've seen enough versions of him. And they always fail miserably when they try to make the giant bowser battles in these games, they never make him look half as threatening as he was at the end of yoshi's island on the snes and that was giant baby bowser. Funny that the one threatening version of bowser was him when he was just a giant baby. They peaked with the bowser battles at that point, nothing else had that impact. Even if they DID make one that looks as threatening (which bowser in bowser's fury almost did) it still would be underwhelming because you can't face the same boss 30+ times and still feel any sense of threat no matter how big or what he does. That's why other game franchises know to change the main villain sometimes and keep it FRESH.

Sorry if I'm nitpicking, but I feel like a lot of people don't realize that there are arrows way above the mega egg block in 1-1 that you're meant to throw the Mega Eggdozer at which can destroy everything in its path including the platforms to get the final red coins and flower all in one shot, so you won't have to use the Mega Eggdozer twice.

Thanks for the help. I just completed the game. After Yoshis Island DS, this was almost easy, with the exception of the special levels. Those were tough. :/ Overall a great game, as usual with Yoshi. Definitely recommended. :) Thx for the video.
