My mother used to play this game in my room whenever I was sick (which was quite often). My mother passed away a while ago, so whenever I feel unwell I put this video on, lay in my bed and close my eyes - pretending that my mother is right there for me.

I was 10 when this came out and my brother 12, it was too easy for us both but it was the PERFECT game for my 5 year old cousin. I'd sit behind her and watch her play and if a level was too scary for her, like the lava world and some of the water worlds, I'd take over and get her through them. This is the sweetest, most harmless, lovely little game.
@jennabunny78403 жыл бұрын
My favorite way to play this game was to only eat melons or that specific Yoshi's favorite fruit. It makes the levels last even longer and you get to see every part of it. Also it puts more danger into it because you're avoiding regaining health until you eat something specific

seeing all the top comments reminiscing about family memories with this game makes me happy. My late grandmother got me this game as a child, because she knew I loved the Mario series, namely Yoshi.. my n64 doesn't work anymore, but I managed to get the game on another console, and I still keep the cartridge close to me, as she had handwritten my (now dead) name. People may remark how it's not Yoshis Island, or how the bosses are way too easy. But to me, this game is very special and I hold it so close to my heart, and knowing I can still play it in 2021 makes me very happy. Thank you for the wonderful childhood memories, Grandma. I love you.

This game is one of those rare examples that the game difficulty can be easily adapted for new and seasoned players alike, without resorting to cheap tactics like bullet sponges or auto-aim. There's an enticement for the player to find all of the hearts in a stage so you can unlock and explore new and more difficult levels, and is chock full of little secrets that could give you an edge to beat any previous records. So it is a great game for beginners to start with, and a score challenge for veteran players. I don't get why people rag on this same so much, lolz.
