My favorite thing about the Happy Video Game Nerd is that he drinks *wine* to celebrate good games, as opposed to the AVGN drinking *beer* to get through bad games. It's such a little genius detail that differentiates the two characters more. I remember Opie & Anthony (a show very similar to Howard Stern's, with the two hosts being big Howard Stern fans) talking about the Nerd around the same time that Stern did, but they were pretty positive, I think they even interviewed James? I also remember James saying somewhere (in James & Mike?) that he practiced funny faces a lot in school to imitate cartoon characters, which is where he gets those unique "Nerd faces."
