Yotam Silberstein Trio performs "They Say It's Wonderful" by Irving Berlin LIVE at Zinc Bar NYC #zincbar in Greenwich Village on Monday January 13, 2025. This son was popularized by singer Doris Day in the 1950's.
Congratulations to Yotam Silberstein for being selected in the Top 7 of Downbeat Magazine's Critics Poll #1 Rising Guitar Star in July 2024. The Israeli-born guitar virtuoso has been on the NYC jazz scene for awhile now.
He has developed a prodigious technique that he has applied to chord melody playing for classic jazz standards. He uses alternate picking, sweep picking, and hybrid picking so emotionally and cleanly with sheets of cascading rapid-fire notes intertwined with beautiful slow voice leadings, and sustained chordal structures.
