Not trying to be rude or anything, but I would torque in a star pattern (even displacement) ... I was taught to do that on anything and everything.... just a thought - the trucks are coming together very nicely, awesome job man 👍🏼👌🏻 imma buy a shirt or two

You NEED to torque everything in a star pattern. Or in the sequence they recommend.

Hey Did you do the IFS hubs on the front? Cant Remember, but if not it will widen the front to match the 89+ rear and you can ditch the spacers! It would make a great video if you didn't. If You did I am curious how long those front wheel bearings will last with the spacer + IFS hubs and the offset on the wheels your running, especially if you plan on wheeling it.

Go the the manifold of a 22R or 3VZE and grab one of the vacuum ports. Same thread as the diff breather. Then run a 5/16 line up into engine bay and add a small fuel filter and you have a great extended breather. Also check out using IFS hubs to widen the front diff and get rid of the spacers. Tacoma rotors and calipers as well for a brake upgrade.
@Nilezy3 жыл бұрын
I’d use fish tank brass airaters instead of fuel filters at the end of the breather

Are you not planning to drive your rig off road? Me and my rig have one main thing in common, we both have been in the suck. And at times deep in it. The state of the brake rotors, it doesn’t seem like you drive it anyways. You could do a V6 hub and brake conversion so the rotor will just slid off, and would be able to get rid of the 2” spacers. Looking at the choice of rims you shouldn’t have clearance issues. I ran 1” spacers for the longest time because of back spacing issues, but have addressed that issue and no longer run spacers.

This truck is a show piece of his craftsmanship as a custom fabricator and details .. nothing about this truck has been left undone..I would say that his other raptor lined truck will see the off-road use where pin stripping it with branches won’t matter .. I could see Austin building a few trucks a year for people he definitely has the talent to do it..👍

Tundras, 4Runners, Tacos. Yotas are still great bro. To each his own, but if it wasn’t for the unreliability of current domestic vehicles I wouldn’t of never became interested in any recent gen Yotas. Witch eventually let me into wanting/owning older models like the 1st & 3rd Gen 4Rs. But I Grew up hating imports, step dad worked at Ford here in Canada. They used to send all the employees home with stacks of bumper stickers that said “do you like your job? Keep buying foreign!”

@Nilezy3 жыл бұрын
Also Austin, the breather is a one way valve, allows for expansion inside the diff so you don’t push oil out the seals when it expands from heat working hard when 4wding. If you put extended breathers up high with ‘fish tank’ airaters the diff can expand and contract without water getting sucked back into the oil and dust or dirt getting into the oil
@realaussiemale5673 жыл бұрын
Extend them all to the firewall of the engine bay, that’s where I put mine in my Nissan.
