This weapon is based on the Tunguska event that eyewitnesses say "Split the sky in two." It was an asteroid explosion in Russia in 1907

The flavor text and name references the Tunguska incident in which a large explosion thought to be a meteor or comet happened in Tunguska Siberia (I think). It is one of the largest explosions to happen on earth

They've lengthened the enjoyment of this game for me by a mile. btw my best/fav loot: MM's bad touch, MM's Heart Breaker, Slippery Root, my Speeedee badaboom (got me out of scrapes), Attack veruc, Unending TMP (fire), React Gwens head, adaptive shields, Longbow Fire Bee grenade is awesome, rubberized quazar grenade, slag transfusions, skin of the ancients with shock res, shield c&rr, SofT mod and nurse mod as needed. also the effect the gun has is a reference: the tunguska-event is thought to have been a meteor exploding above-ground, thus the tunguska-projectiles bounce up and detonate a few meters above ground-level

Also, as a heads up, I had the Unforgiven drop from a Loot Midget that spawned from a locker next to the auto save machine that's next to one of the Skaggs that was mutated. They do spawn in that area from time to time, so I wanted to give you a heads up on that. Keep up the good work Yote!

I know, I was so hype to get it too. I'm thinking that a slag version would be great because of the area it would cover but it has such a low chance of effect that it negates the amount of area it covers

Tunguska is a military AA Tank. It is ALSO a meteor that hit Siberia. That leads to the description, being the high fire rate of an anti-air tank would split the sky in two, and a meteor would also do the same.

been doing this all day, amazing farming method as i got about 5-6 legendaries and 2 pearlusent weapons! also for some reason when the bandit loot midget comes from the box he seems to drop legenderies 90% of the time!!

hey there's a 8th gun it's a assault rifle that is a dalh company it consumes 6 shots per shot it shots 3 grenades. 3 round burst when zoomed in, it's interesting

Yote, Just wanted to let you know I farmed the loot midgets last night for about 4hrs and I got a level 61 Butcher on about my 5th run, and to my surprise I got a level 60 Unforgiven and a level 60 Tunguska on the same run which was about run 8 or 9. The last run of the night I got a level 61 Bearcat. I don't know how rare the drop rates are for these guns but they were dropping like crazy in that short amount of time.

It's unpatched on ps3, and when I was trying it last night they seemed to have a increased drop rate from before. I had only gotten one legendary prior to the failed patch. But last night I ended up getting 2 butchers, 1 storm, 4 grenade mods, and a siren class mod. They all seemed to have a good drop rate now. Ps3 users definitely try this out!

I a lvl 55 siren and in 2 rounds of farming the llms TWO ROUNDS! I got the deep a Tunguska, a legendary rocket launcher, and that pearlesent smg that spins and shoots bullets when you reload. THIS WAS IN TWO ROUNDS! TEN MINUTES! OF FARMING! unfortunately they're not very useful because they're both non-elemental... I might use the smg though I'm not sure.

Today I was farming Terramorphous, tryin to get the hide of terra, and every time i beat him i went to the chests in the cave because i thought "why not?" i ended up getting a legendary and this tunguska within killing him 6 times. idk if i got lucky or what. but those specific chests are amazing.

YOTE, about two weeks ago I started my UVHM play through on PS3. I killed Captain Flynt and went to the chest that's below where he spawns. I opened it and there was a level 52 Butcher (My level at the time) AND a level 52 Lyuda. I have a pic on my iPod to prove it. like so he can see!

yote try and get a shock stalker pistol I have all pearlescents on my siren and my stalker does solid damage against pyro pete's shield when he is slagged if u use 2 of these with ur pistol build and find a way to slag it might chew through his shield

i actually got a derp tunguska, it does a million damage no joke, and with the bee, it kills things effectively and quick, assuming that u dont kill urdelf first. I play on ps3 if u guys are wondering and it is unpatched too

Correct. I played through the game hoping for them. But that doesn't mean I wasn't looking for them. I opened chests. I killed optional bosses. And I looked through crates, hoping that loot midgets would pop out, and give me a chance at getting something from them. You know - the way the game was intended to be played. All this in the hopes that maybe something would drop them. Just because I'm not exploiting doesn't mean I'm not looking.

ya Yote, think they patched it the next day on all platforms. they said on forums it was not meant to be done yet. I'm thinking they will have a boss like craw in the june expansion that will drop pearls and then that's when they will do it. At least that is my hope

Gearbox has said that the patch with the loot midgets was an accidental test release and that they have fixed it as it was un intentional, so for all intents and purposes, all consoles should be fixed with the loot midgets now

Well no not really. The AA gun is named after the Tunguska Event where a very large asteroid exploded over the Tunguska area between two rivers (I forget their names). So since this is a rocket launcher is is more aptly names after the asteroid explosion

I got the Tunguska and immediately tried it out on the stalkers when leaving the building. What I found is that after a couple shots, the creatures froze up and covered their heads like the sky was falling - maybe refering to the red text? This let me take them out from distance but they'd hop back into action if i got near them again. I would think this was a glitch except that it was a specific animation and they didn't "vibrate" like blue or a rack does when glitched. Anyone else notice this?
