The ammonia level is from leftover food they don't eat. Very deadly. Give the fish five minutes to eat, then use a brine shrimp net to remove excess food. That should help alot!!! Good luck!

When I was pregnant, all meat smelled bad. One time when I went to make dinner with ground beef, I ended up cooking 3 different packages because I kept worrying that it had gone bad. Ended up they were all fine :)

I think I would have given up on having fish. My sister and Mother had fish and they were always dying and that money added up. They had big tanks and cleaning them out were a pain. They had heaters in theirs. Maybe you should move the tank to where they are not close to the cold windows. My son had a Beta fish that lived a long time but he was by himself. Good luck but if they all do not make it this time I seriously would give up on fish.

Tina Carter the ones I’ve seen here in the US are Kinder Joy eggs which don’t have the prize encased in chocolate, but instead one half of the egg is a chocolate cream you eat with a spoon and the other half has a toy. This is legal in the US because it doesn’t have inedible objects encased in the food product.

Aww that one little fish could have died for a number of reasons! It's not your fault. You just have to find what works with your water. Once you find what works, you'll be in great shape! I had neon tetra that lived for 1-2 years. They're blue and red naturally and would look great in your tank.

When I was Gaines age I would pretend to be fake sleeping too but I would do it at night because my parents are almost as blind as a bat so they couldn’t tell but sometimes they did when I couldn’t be carried anymore after being “so big” (5 years old) I would always do it after a huge family event at my aunts house with that what felt like a 45 min drive back and forth. Just some advice for Gaines : do the fake sleeping at night ends up to be the best results.

The only thing i can suggest is that they are selling you fish that would be better added to an established tank. There are other types of fish that are better for starter tanks.

Where in Canada is he from? I live in Ontario. My kids are obsessed with kinder eggs...it's our go-to treat for bribing them. They'll do anything for a kinder egg lol. And our middle one has a peanut allergy and they're peanut free so we love them!!!

For my fish I used water ran through the purifier and a little bit of non iondized salt. Those fish lived forever and had babies lol

Madelyne The Kinder Eggs Wal-Mart has are different from the ones the kids opened. The ones at Wal-Mart have the chocolate on one side and the toy on the other, getting around the rule that the toy can't be enclosed in chocolate. The irony is that other companies are making them similar to the original Kinder Eggs and are available in the US.

It’s funny because they are literally the same concept as kinder eggs but they are legal in America! They are a bit bigger! I don’t understand how something as simple as kinder eggs can be illegal yet something has deadly as guns are legal! It doesn’t make any sense!

Heather Woolley They have stuff that are like them here though i’ve seen the Peppa Pig ones at the store and grabbed a ton of them they are at Walmart near check out and they come with the chocolate egg and the little Peppa Pig character it looked just like the Kender surprises they unwrapped And they also have wonder balls that came back From the 90s I’m really excited about those it’s a chocolate bar and then they have hardFruity candies inside and it comes with two stickers with characters on them
