In formal English the correct answer is b). This is because the speaker is a 'subject' of this sentence, so we have to use a subject pronoun - 'I'. Both are correct in informal spoken English. More here: www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/english/course/eiam/unit-2/session-39

18SUEN47 Shilpa.E 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have an answer to your question. We use ‘get’ to mean obtain or create. You can get a prize at the sports competition. You win a prize. You are given a prize. We use ‘become’ to mean to develop or change or improve. I will become a grandfather next year. A plant seed will become a flower. We can also say ‘That hat becomes you’. It is a good choice for you at the wedding. I am becoming very tired after a long walk in the forest. I hope this is helpful for you.

dina karen barros 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, Dina. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I can answer your question. Actually, you have answered it already. 0:44 an easy way to check is to take out the other person. Why is "Sam" in the sentence Sam and I are making a video omitted? Can anyone explain to me a little bit?
@danielduarte6802
@danielduarte6802 3 жыл бұрын
The trick is that when you don't know which one is correct: _ Sam and I are making a video; _ Sam and me are making a video; you can remove the other person: _ I am making a video; _ me am making a video; so it's easier to notice whether to use 'I' or 'me' (you should notice that "me am making a video" sounds wrong)

"I" is the first-person subject pronoun, "me" is the first-person object pronoun. So, what is a subject and what is an object? The subject is the part of the sentence which is *acting* whilst the verb describes the *action* and the object is a supplement. A full sentence can be correct *without* an object, but it *always* has to contain a subject and a verb. For example: I (subject) am working (verb). I (subject) am working (verb) with Tom (object). WRONG: "Working with Tom." (means: this is not a *complete* correct sentence therefore it can *not* stay alone *without context* but it could be a response to a question - and even that would be a colloquial answer, not a formal one). To find out, what a subject and an object is, you ask following questions: Subject: Who or what is doing something? Object: With who/whom (more exact form, but nowadays - especially for learners - not commonly used) Let's have a look at the second example "You're are working with me and Tom". • *With who/whom* are you working? → *Tom and me* (object) • *Who* is working with Tom and me? → *You* (subject) Since "Tom and me" are the *subject* - you can't replace "me" with "I" (at least not in formal language, in everyday-speech it might be acceptable - but technically wrong). General hint: In normal sentences, the subject is found mostly in the beginning of a sentence. Hope it's a bit clearer now, unfortunately, I'm not an English native speaker, but the explanation is the same for every language that I speak.
