You couldn't be more wrong. 1. Always use wet sharpening for kitchen knives 2. Learn how to use the sharpener properly 3. Always clean your knife afterwards 4. Remove any sticker to avoid cutting through glue 5. Wash the melon, wash it twice, then wash it again 6. Cut along the vertical perimeter 7. Cut a half into good slices 8. Not cutting off the green outside will greatly reduce water loss
