This was tough to watch. Ronda obviously has CTE. The way she’s slurring her words and the lifelessness in her voice… she didn’t used to talk like that. She was a great Olympian and UFC champion, but CTE is the steep price she paid for her multi-Hall of Fame career. I appreciate her honesty, and I wish her nothing but the best.

Ugh I have so many feelings about this. I truly was a Ronda stan in her ufc days, and I still consider myself a fan and I have a tremendous amount of respect for her and what she’s accomplished. That said, the secret concussion thing and ~I fell down the stairs a week prior and that’s why I lost~ is just not something I am buying and it’s very disappointing. It reads to me as validation-seeking, excuse-making, intentional self-delusion, etc. Not to mention the fact that these statements inherently attempt to negate Holly’s well-deserved win to some degree. Idk. It’s just not a dignified look or thing to do to both herself and Holly.

With that being said, My Fight Your Fight is literally one of my favorite reads. I own both the audio book and a hard cover book. The lawsuit didn't get thrown out until months after her debut. I'm a run of the mill Judoka who is out of his prime. I was a big fan of Rousey, but the trash talking is very much against the spirit of Judo (there's a whole philosophy to it). So, she lost something when she went that route. She was an Olympian though. I've trained with two Olympians and they are otherworldly.

Damn, she's a legend in her own mind...If ronda acted like a mature adult and wasn't such a nasty person, people might like her. First step would be taking some accountability and quit blaming everyone else. She was a bully and was in the UFC during a time where the BEST women fighters were still being discovered. When real fighters arrived, they smacked her silly 2x times in a row. Wasn't even a CLOSE loss, she got destroyed by Holmes AND Nunez devoured her. Even I am here to laugh at her interview. She isn't disliked because she lost, shit, Nate Diaz got bashed non stop, we still LOVE Nate, heart of a champion with or without the belt. Attitude of a champion. Rhonda had a free run and a good payday. She disrespects opponents, so now, no one respects her. Karma a bitch. Not even top 15.
