What I love about “You are Lisa Simpson”… Remember how Bergstrom was called a dork when he came into class in a cowboy costume? & instead of being ashamed and hiding his genuine self, he embraced it and complimented the artist. “You are Lisa Simpson” can be interpreted many ways, but in this particular context... it could mean that she is Lisa Simpson, her own person & to never lose that, and to embrace it. When Mr. Bergstrom said, "It'll be okay" is when I actually started bawling. Not crying. Bawling. No one ever says this to me. I'm always the one saying it to others when they feel bad or are struggling through something. When I'm alone, I don't feel like I'm there for myself because I have to be the emotional support for everyone else. Hearing that is such a deep comfort that I didn't know I needed. I just started crying right after that like a floodgate because life has been so hard for so many years. The depression every day is horrible and you kind of just feel like nothing will be okay and you'll never get out of where you are in life. Hearing that helped immensely. This whole scene helped. I’ve had my share of “Mr. Bergstroms” or “Karls” in my life. When they’re gone, it hurts but they never have nor ever will leave my heart.

I haven't felt this emotional since I saw the moment from near the end of the VeggieTales episode "Celery Night Fever", in which Junior and Laura hugged each other.
