I’m running some slotted drain pipes along the low side of my patio, towards a home dug dry well, just to make sure there is no standing water where it hits the grass. I’m slightly concerned about water running through the pipe and undermining patio over a long period of time. I’m wrapping the pipe with fabric and placing it within the foot of extra base stone off the edge of the patio. Sound like a good idea? How far off the patio do you usually place those pipes to collect the water? Thanks as always for your assistance. Together, we are building this patio. Lol

👍👍 If it is a perforated pipe and backfilled properly, there shouldn’t be erosion unless the pipe were to collapse. I’d have to see what you are doing with it to say for sure.

As a customer and a skilled tradesman (electrician), price is not the final be all. Having an accurate estimate that covers the whole job and I get quality work, where I go wow thats great. That makes me a repeat customer!

Lots of good analysis and advice in this video. I agree that only going with sf pricing can be risky because of all the variables that you share. Is that pool job from last year finished or are you waiting on material?

Waiting on the pergola to be constructed for us to pave up to it and install the jointing compound. Hopefully next week

I charge 25/SqFt for a particular pattern that I use over and over again. But yeah no two jobs are alike

Yeah it’s tough to keep a consistent square foot pricing when no two jobs are the same
