that sounds like a youtuber i know she goes by letters she made a promise to herself that she wasnt going to buy anymore makeup products for a certain amount of time and broke it while talking to her boyfriend about how she made that deal with herself (ex boyfriend now) maybe try making rules like that so that way never spend to much money on makeup
@Anisa035303 жыл бұрын
@@ihartevil Oh that’s interesting. I haven’t bought makeup in YEARS lol and I found it odd that the one time I did I felt horrible about treating myself, it wasn’t about the money at all.

I. Needed. This. I have been working through a lot of stuff lately and I realized I never allow myself to be happy. I am always denying myself my own needs!! WHAT?! “Those that make consistent selfish choices are those that don’t love themselves.” Oof. I have to remind myself it’s not my journey that they are lashing out to me. It’s their journey to try to love themselves. I’ll keep focusing on loving myself too. 💖 THANK YOU
@ColetteKati3 жыл бұрын
Yes when others lash out even when they make it all about you it isn’t about you at all. When you can see that it makes it easier to have compassion instead of lash back but you absolutely have every right and duty to yourself to set boundaries with those kinds of people.

It took me almost 40 years to get to this realization! After a terrible car accident my husband and 3 girls were in a few months ago I ended up depressed and just a shell because I had nothing left. I was driving them to appointments and making sure they felt loved and OK, but I let myself go and it took 2 months to admit I was depressed and needed to start giving myself some attention. Just small things, but it has helped so much. I always laughed at the "fill your cup" thing but it's true!

Thank you for this video! As a new mother, I always forget to take care of myself because I want to be the best mother to my son. I think I’m so wrapped in not wanting to become my mother and for some reason, even for a split second, taking a moment for myself makes me like her. I know that’s sad to say because everyone who has a healthy relationship with their mother looks up to their mother and aim to be like her, but in my case, I don’t. My mother is a heroin addict who put my siblings and me through a lot of stuff. I feel like it’s my job to break that family chain because her mother and her mother’s mother were the same. I just need to remind myself that carving out an hour to take a breather does not make me like her at all. So thank you for reminding me! ❤️
@ColetteKati3 жыл бұрын
You are so right taking time for yourself is not at all the same as losing yourself in addiction. Addiction hurts the ones you love but it hurts you the most. You are already so much more self-aware and I know you will be a great mother you are already breaking the chain you are re-writing your story and your history and beginning a new legacy! Your family tree will be forever changed because of your part in it! Believe in yourself! LOVE yourself!
