SCP 173 also crawls through the vent system; that's why you'll occasionally hear the sound of metal scrapping when you're standing anywhere near a vent. That's SCP 173 belly-crawling through the vents to get to you.

Heya! I played this game for a long while and do know a few things which can help you out here. First the gamma definitely seems like it is too low so that would make the underground sections of course be very much harder. Whenever you go through a door it is imperative for you to close it behind you or else SCP 173 will come behind you and kill you easily The tesla gates that you see can actually be passed, what you have to do is get close enough to trigger it without it frying you and then run through it real quickly before it comes back on. If SCP 106 starts following you and one of these are nearby try going through it as quickly as you can using what I said earlier, turn around, and watch that old man fry. SCP 939 in the basement are a little more tricky, you have to crouch around them and be stealthy. If one of them suddenly makes a human sound it is best to stay still until it moves on. SCP 914 is imperative in order to get to the next section of the game, you might need to look up some stuff for this one. I will say only one thing about an SCP later on if you get into the containment zone, one of my favorites in the game. He however is pretty... shy to say the least. Use saves and loads pretty often and don't be afraid to test some of the more lethal SCPs, after saving of course. Do not be afraid to look up some information about getting past any sort of difficult part if you get stuck. The rest of the SCPs I will leave to you to discover, papers around can give tips on how to survive them. Of course at times this game may seem unfair but it is realistic in terms of anyone's survivability in such a harsh environment. If you REALLY REALLY want more information from me I will reply to comments about it.

You have to bait out the Tesla Gate, it can only fire once every few seconds. Then you run through between pulses.

@Flynn I hope that's an oversight and not the intended way through the tesla gates. Otherwise that's really shitty game design considering the first thing the game does is showing you someone getting fried by it. The logical solution would be to shut it off not to run through it.

Actually, 173 can't open doors; however, when the computer has control of the facility, it can open or close doors anywhere. You ever notice an open door, and when you went up to it, it closed almost ON your face? That's just his sense of humor. He's also he only that will open doors when 173 is right behind them. His fucked up idea of a joke. This will stop being a problem once you reset the power and such.

To progress into the game you have to do things you don't really want to do. like sneaking by the creatures down the elevator at the basement area. those taser doors you have trick trigger them, then run pass by them. You can also open door switches from facing away from them as well, so you can walk backwards opening and closing doors. oh don't stand on the black stuff.

Aaaw yeah I love watching people play this game :D. It will be even sweeter with my favourite spooky boys. But please close doors behind you, it will have to open doors to get to you and you will be warned by the sound of the door. Also please pay attention to the things you read, there will be hints about what to do, like that there's a maintenance tunnel you can get to to get around the security door. If you don't start reading you'll get stuck when you have to upgrade items to progress, or when you have to capture a certain scp.

Tips: You can go through Tesla gates, just go up, back up, and then sprint past after it fires. Blink before opening doors. Close doors behind you by backing up into them. Check corridors. ALWAYS CLOSE THE DOORS!!! SCP 173 is rather easy to pass by himself, he’s mostly an issue when other SCPs are near as well. Just look at him, close doors by backing up into them, and put at least 2 closed doors between you two before looking away. SCP 914 is very important. Upgrade your keycard on fine to get the next level. If SCP 106 is chasing you, put an active Tesla gate between you. These are the basics, but there is much more to know.
