of course i had to look up melinda, still with us at 73, cute as a button and a real nice singing voice. and the start of california getting a reputation as being "different", vegetarian charlie fox was way ahead of his time, shows he died in 2012 making him about 84 years "young".

That was cute..I remember Witch Doctor came out January 1, 1958 ..I was going on 12 that year. It was a silly cute song too. I still think the singers of the 1950's were good and sang some very pretty songs --Patti Page, Perry Como, Sinatra, Dean Martin...Elvis. I miss those days I wish I could go back to those days too.

Melinda was always cute but I think she's even cuter in her later appearances on the show with Gene Nelson and Bobby Van. I think that as she got older she lost interest in performing, as her show-business career has been very erratic since "YBYL" ended its original run in 1961.

I love Groucho Marx and I love this show. But there is just one thing that annoys me. I know this is a show from the 1950's, but at some point in the shows run he began to act like a child and ridiculous when a pretty or beautiful female contestant would walk to the podium. He would greet them with growling and otherwise weird sounds to express his delight in seeing them. I mean even then that had to be disrespectful. I don't know how he got away with that.
