Great video! Will most of the settings and tricks you used on this map work with Brushify as well? Can't wait to see how you deal with the foliage and water etc.

Brushify auto material yes. Brushify brushes, not of this scale. Brushify uses landmass so using this many brushes is a bit not so easy. Water and foliage coming soon :)

11:06 You might want to keep Errant Landscape Layer on top as putting anything above it will cause bugs. also weight blended paint layers are also known to cause bugs.

I have found I ended up adding an Edits layer above so I could hand sculpt or smooth out those wee seems. BUT I did not make use of the detail tools as you did, AND I have not learned of a reason one might NOT want to do edits abovethe others

Yeah you can do that as well. And I will smooth everything I. The final as well using the smoothing brush.
