Well said Gabe! Fishing is a place where we are supposed to find peace, joy, and friends, it's a shame a divisive element has been allowed to surface. It's made folks forget what we all have in common, and no matter what the background, we all love to catch fish, and if a certain technology can make that more efficient, where's the sin in that? When fish finding sonar first appeared on the scene, many folks were against it, but it's a standard now. Change is hard sometimes. Now with some sponsors pushing anglers to address social issues, we're not here to be radicals, there's a time and a place for that, and fishing ain't it, we're here to share the joy and love of fishing. Let's loose the negativity and "Make Fishing Great Again"!

Gabe, you always do a great job with your videos. You explain everything you do and how you do it. You are an excellent fishing teacher. I also appreciate your kindness every time I see you on the lake. You always take time to say hello and exchange fishing ideas. God bless you. God is extremely gracious or else we wouldn't be here.

God bless you brother. Christians need to stand up for our country and do it with respect and grace. You mentioned the big name fishermen that have youtube channels, BUT I have learned as much if not more from your channel than I ever did from theirs. Keep the good content coming. I, like you, am a recreational fisherman who helps run a small tournament club here in WV. I don't use the electronics others do but don't begrudge others that want to. Keep the videos coming buddy.

I very much enjoy your videos and this one seemed very genuine and from your heart, it is impressive that your thinking about your religious upbringing and stand behind that. I think your content has been extremely helpful to the weekend fisherman and folks that just wanna learn something about fishing local lakes around here, that means a ton to me. Keep up the good and thank you for providing useful and valuable knowledge to everyone that take the time to check out your videos. Blessings to you Gabe.

I'm happy to hear someone talk about this. Not many people know how to reflect on themselves and believe they can do no wrong. I'm happy to hear that you are this kind of person. I changed my lifestyle quite a bit this year so far. Pretty much stopped drinking except for a couple of times. Changed my diet quite a bit. Have focused on daily devotions on the Bible and God. It has made a huge impact in my life so far. I have realized certain people who I work with and have hung out with how negative they can be. I try and talk to them in a positive manner and not feed more negative things to there issues. Thank you for the personal video. I could tell years ago that you are a good, positive, chilled guy.

I know this video is for five months old but I certainly needed to hear this morning. Thank you for making it. I am in this terrible funk and I cannot put my finger on it. I keep thinking if I get a new boat that will fix it but I know it’s just temporary

Go to church...A small part of your week to have a quiet time to reflect on where you stand with GOD ! Most important thing in life. My bad habit was watching way too much fishing KZbin...So I cut it way down... You , Randy , Jonny and Tyler ... and thats about it.. Your doing a Great Job !

Great message Gabe. However, I don't see you as someone who needs to watch their caloric intake. Your job mostly takes care of that. Honestly don't see how you are able to keep up with all you're doing now. Just know we appreciate all of your content and it really helps us out for the limited time we are able to get on the water. Give Finn a scratch behind the ear for us!

Hit the nail on the head about the negativity. I’m just the opposite. I unsubscribed from RB channel 2 years ago. I watch content to learn new things. His rants about FFS got so toxic I just quit watching his stuff. That’s what I like about your content it’s always positive even on the tough days and I might pick up a tip here and there. You’ve come along way Gabe. Keep up the good stuff brother

Could've agree with you more about the negative out there about FFS. I may have upset another U Tuber the other evening. His opening post in chat was about how all the old pro's were crying over on another site. You know playing the drama card and it hadn't even been part of the chat. So yes the stubborn bull in me was a little ruffled. I made my feelings know as nicely as possible on the subject. From his response I think he got the message. 😊 Your doing great stuff here keep it up. 100% support you.

I know what you mean about how easy it is to gain a pound here and there and it adds up. Now days it is way less expensive to eat unhealthy. I made a commitment it'll be 2 years in June to not be what some would consider a diet but to eat as though I'm fighting a disease and to eat that way for the rest for my life, I don't have high blood pressure, no diabetes none of that but I eat as though that's what I'm fighting. I eat low carb low sugar and high protein, I went from 230 lbs to 190, and am currently fluctuating around 194. I would love to be around 185 but even if I never get there my labs and blood pressure have been absolutely perfect. It's not easy, but everything is geared towards high sugar, high carbs, processed foods, fake fats. It's tough and you have to be creative especially when you're on the road. I work nights and breakfast is something that I almost always have to have, I actually lost weight eating gas station chicken tenders with coffee, but as bad as that may sound, the crust on the tenders would be all my carbs for the day, rest of the day carbs would be almost zero. Thats the part I meant about getting creative. It's way cheaper to eat unhealthy than it is to eat this way and you have to constantly be thinking and looking for hacks and ways to eat low carb. Also you have to cycle off for a day or two every so often. If I've been sticking to it really well I'll plan a day or so to cycle off, If I slip up and eat what I shouldn't I'll use that as an off day and stay really strict for 2 or 3 weeks after that slip up.

SILLY is an under statement Gabe. Dang, dude what a GREAT vid! Was wondering if you could do a video on all the tournament bass fisherman and boat wrecks. ( Samrayburn 3/8/24) Seems like there's a lot of 18 and 19 year olds out there driving 250s with not much experience, I mean seriously they can't have. The safety issue seems to have gone out the window lately😮 thanks
