It was 1972. I was just 14 and he was 15..an older man. I would hold his head in my lap and sing this song to him as I stroked his hair. EVERYONE tried to break us up and parents and school was constantly separating us. We looked forward to being able to be married and he "could stay as long as he liked." We got married at 16 yrs old and now, on the eve of our 44th Wedding Anniversary, the world is still spinning around, and we are still deeply and madly in love. Illness has taken to me and I cannot sing as I did, but you girls can sing for me. Thank you. I gave a gift of sending this to my husband...he just held me and we cried.

@ I'm tending to side with you Vern Fact is men like beautiful women as much as they like beautiful music so when they appear together it would seem odd to comment on one and ignore the other. For the record it seems clear there are boy bands specifically put together to attract female attention - and the girls ain't slow to say who they like best and why. I gather this provides a safe and acceptable outlet for them to express that entirely natural drive. I suspect older women keep most such conversation 'between the girls' but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen!

Sophie, I just came across a couple songs that you all did together, it was quite a wonderful moment. As an older musician, I know that people, groups, do split up and go their own ways, for reasons that "outsiders" just cannot understand. Indeed, I know knowing and its not really for me to probe into those reasons. Good luck to you on your own journey, finding your own voice and vision. Remember that song-writing trumps everything! Even marketing! When the song is stripped down and in its naked (often acoustic) form: Is it still constructed well? Does it stand on its own? All the best. A

Nicely done! Your beautiful voices blend so WELL together!!! My wife said I was playing my guitar before I even knew who she WAS! I suffered a brain aneurism that really should have KILLED me! My parents called both of my brothers and told them to hurry down to California ASAP if they wanted to say 'Goodbye' to me beFORE I die. "Charlie is in a coma right now, and he's currently at Torrance Memorial Hospital in Torrance, CA, where the neurosurgeon told Charlie's wife that her mentor, Dr. Vespa at UCLA Medical Center, could perform a new procedure that could save him." Another neurosurgeon from a different hospital somehow found OUT about this procedure, calls my wife up and says, "I've been practicing medicine for 20 years, so I know what works, and what DOESN'T work, and that procedure by Dr. Vespa will NEVER work!" My poor wife replied, "I'm CERTAIN you know more about this than I do, but we don't seem to have much of a choice!" Well, to make a long story SHORT, the procedure by Dr. Vespa DID work, but for the rest of my life, I'm going to be quoted for what I said when the medical staff at UCLA saw me open my eyes, look around and spot the weeping woman at my bedside, my wife of 17 years. When the medical staff asked me if I knew who the woman WAS, I replied, "I'm not sure who she is, but I think I like her a lot." (Of course, I had to be TOLD that I said this, because I don't remember SAYING this!!!) To hear my story, search KZbin for "Charles Frank Kurtz", then spread word that miracles still happen to this very DAY! MY being alive to even SAY "Miracles still HAPPEN!!!" is miraculous!!! (FYI: I can now reMEMber who my wife is!☺️😝🤪😅😂😉)
