In today's video, I will be showing you how to install tons of apps onto your quest that would normally be unavailable. This will allow you to install things like Discord, Spotify or TikTok onto your Quest 1, Quest 2, Or Quest Pro. This is the latest method and should also work with any future headsets. Super useful video. Would have loved to see a few examples of like what the apps look like in the head set. I’ve been trying to find a way to run zoom on my quest so I can hop on video calls and do other work related things inside the headset, this might be the way. Also discord so would have been cool to see discord launch and what it looks like or other useful tools.

I don't own a Quest but since it's Android I'd imagine you could also install adb on your desktop. Then from command line type adb devices (while plugged in) and approve it on the headset. Then do adb install (path to apk). I'll give it a try with my XR Elite when that arrives.

FIXED Im having a small issue, i plugged everything in and accepted the stuff on my phone and quest but my device didnt show up on the phones app. what do i do???!! Virtual desktop isn't that much different from the built in airlink , you could also just buy like a $17 wire and do cable link which is better than wireless

This is driving me insane. I had to register for a developer account through meta. I've done ALL THE STEPS. But when I get to the connect your phone to quest thing NOTHING HAPPENS. I even put my phone in developer mode to allow USB debugging and tha STILL didn't work. Gonna try and pick up a new usbc to usbc cable. Idk what else to do.

before you get started make sure your i.d (thats has to be sent and verified before registering as a developer) matches the account linked to the actual headset

Yes, you will not be able to leave the call until you quit the game, or you have the update where you can open 2d apps in games

any idea on how to get google play games to work? i play marvel future fight and the only way to sync data is through play games or fb fb sync launches meta browser and i do login without issues but once done it gets me back to the game with just a black screen if i press the back button it gets rid of the black screen but the sync fails
