Sequel to the successful "Venom", in which the eponymous symbiote and his host Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) have to deal with the serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who turns into the bloodthirsty Carnage after also coming into contact with an alien life form. Kasady already appeared in the credits scene of "Venom," where he was in jail, but warned that there would be slaughter after his escape. In the comics, Kasady infects himself with the Carnage symbiote during his outbreak. Moreover, the villain Frances Barrison alias Shriek (Naomie Harris) is also said to be involved. Thus, Venom will be facing two opponents at once...

I love Dan's character. He's a dweeb and he's completely out of his depth but he tries so hard to help Anne and Eddie. And he's just so nice! I loved the part in the first movie where Eddie freaks out in the restaurant and Dan just covers for him and does his best to help out instead of getting mad. I was expecting him to be some asshole that Eddie has to compete against for Anne but he's really just a good dude who doesn't deserve to be wrapped up in all this symbiote nonsense lmao
