OMG, Revere cookware! My mother received a set when she married in 1950 and I'm still using it today 72 years later. As a professional chef, I have lots of other cookware but Revere holds a special place in my heart and in my kitchen.

I’ll always stick the tube end of a hand soap pump to the skin on the back of my hand. If I have my water bottle with me, I wet my skin before too. Helps with testing suction.

I think you may have a good find in the Revereware skillet. About 6 years ago, my husband & I sold LOTS of it in our booth at an antique mall. Of course, shipping may be a little high, but we did really well with it. Barkeepers Friend is great for cleaning them.

Thank you for mentioning about the exhorbitant shipping costs. That's part of the reason I gave up Ebay. I'm trying local pick up. Also, I bought a comforter for $6.99 last Sat. -- today I went back and comforters were $12.99. Why can't they be consistent on items that are donations?

I was born in VA in 1951. My mom used Revere copper bottom saucepans daily, but used cast iron for frying. Years later I asked why we never had a Revere Ware skillet and she said "too thin" (in a nutshell). She was a great creative cook, a child of the depression era. I buy and sell Revere Ware but usually leave the frying pans on the shelf unless they are in pristine condition and have a very flat bottom. Love your videos and am so envious of what you have been able to to do with your home🙂 Oh, to be single again!!!

I am on vacation, road tripping from Florida to Aspen, Colorado. I had the chance to make a stop at a GW in Amarillo, Texas, I Was in there as soon as they opened, found in 30 minutes more than 10 items (only clothes and one pair or UGG leather boots) , all for less than $70. All of them were high end brands. I was very happy that I was able to find great items, all of them look like new, two of them were new with tags.

I am watching you in your shipping room. You discussed the flooring taking up too much room. And need for more space. Consider attaching clear acrylic to the beams on ceiling.....lots of storage, and you can see what is stored. That flooring would fit perfectly.

Looked up the MS beaded purse and they are going for over $150! That long "pewter" bowl could fit in a USPS mailing tube. Yesterday (Sat) I donated a French copper (and other metals) large/deep pot to my local thrift store bc I won't be using it again. Hope it finds a good home and the thrift can make $ on it (too heavy for me to ship). That thrift store supports scholarships for the affiliated high school.

Doll Lot Shipping box: when I have a situation like that, where the box is great in 2 dimensions, I find another box (or make one) that will slip down over the top inverted, covering the product, similar to the way the lid of a hat box lid comes down over the base. Once taped, it makes the package very strong. The upper half works best if it’s about 1/4” longer then the base.

@@lavenderclothesline Yes, always have to watch the weight. I had to do a similar package yesterday. The good thing is that you can use the existing lower box, sat on a piece of flat cardboard to mark, cut and fold up the cap box pretty quickly. Ends up looking like a Copy Paper Box, with a short removable box lid.

I wish I lived closer to you (I live in South Jersey) so I could shadow you one day to learn from you. I have a REALLY good inventory of vintage hard goods (Pyrex, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) and some vintage clothing (dresses, T-shirts, sweaters, menswear, etc.) but the listing shipping thing is what is terrifying me to start selling. Long Pier One Dish shipping: if the comps were to justify the 2-4 pound weight’s Priority rate shipping cost, boxing items that shape is still pretty easy, as long as the packed length can be kept under 22”. Once USPS added the over length surcharge, I’ve stopped shipping out using their triangular tubes EXCEPT for items shaped like that metal dish. I simply make up the Triangle in the usual way and cut the box length back, making new flaps, so it comes in under 22”. It’s how I am using up my stock of 38” triangular Priority tubes. If the item will be over the 22” length (bats, golf putters, etc) I’ve shifted to the Triangular FedEx tube. It assemblies a bit different, costs a couple bucks more to ship, but is also a freebie from your FedEx store.

It makes more sense for her to sell in lots because the postage on one plate probably would be as much as the cost of the plate. There is economy of scale as the number of plates goes up.

I don't know if USPS cube boxes in the USA, but in Australia they do, BUT, if you make the box an odd shape (I have had friends tape a little box on the outside), they cannot cube it & postage is so much cheaper

You always say heavy items are hard to ship because of cost. I ship heavy items all of the time. The buyer wants to pay the shipping and I will ship it. Don’t make new people watching your channel think they should not pick up heavy items. It might not be something you want to do but others don’t have a problem with it.
